Based on Section 8 of the Vietnamese Education Program promulgated together with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the volume of the Grade 5 Vietnamese program is 245 lessons, broken down as follows:
- Reading content duration: Approximately 60%
- Writing content duration: Approximately 25%
- Speaking and Listening content duration: Approximately 10%
- Periodic assessment duration: Approximately 5%
What key qualities of primary students are shaped and developed through the subject of Vietnamese?
According to Section 6 of the Vietnamese Education Program promulgated together with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the method for forming and developing key qualities for primary students through the Vietnamese subject is as follows:
Through the methods and forms of organizing reading, writing, speaking, and listening of various types of texts, the Vietnamese subject directly forms and develops in students the following key qualities with the main manifestations:
- Love for nature, love for the country with diverse expressions in life as well as in literature; cherish and pride in the traditions of family, homeland, and country; respect and gratitude towards laborers and those who have contributed to the country; appreciate and protect beauty; promote and preserve cultural values, historical sites; have ideals and a deep sense of national sovereignty and the future of the nation.
- Care for relatives, respect friends, and teachers; be accommodating and forgiving; be moved by good deeds and people; maintain harmonious relationships with others; empathize and share joy and sorrow, love for people around as well as with characters in literary works; respect differences in circumstances and culture, be forgiving and tolerant with others
- Regularly read newspapers; consistently complete academic tasks and diligent in family and school work; love labor, have the will to overcome difficulties; actively train to prepare for future careers.- Live honestly, straightforwardly, and truthfully with oneself and others; love justice, respect truth; be straightforward in expressing thoughts and emotions.
- Keep promises, take responsibility for words, actions, and consequences; have attitudes and behaviors respecting public regulations; be ready to fulfill civic responsibilities; maintain the dignity and identity of Vietnamese citizens; simultaneously, selectively assimilate the cultural essence of humanity for international integration, becoming global citizens.
