What medal is awarded to Vietnamese students who win the Gold Medal in the World Skills competition?
Based on Article 3 of Decree 110/2020/ND-CP:
Reward Criteria
1. Award the First Class Labor Medal to students and learners who achieve one of the following accomplishments:
a) Consistently winning the Gold Medal twice in a row in the international Olympic competitions for subjects or consistently winning the first prize twice in a row in international scientific and technical research competitions;
b) Winning the Gold Medal in the World Skills Competition.
2. Award the Second Class Labor Medal to students and learners who achieve one of the following accomplishments:
a) Winning the Gold Medal in international Olympic competitions for subjects or first prize in international scientific and technical research competitions;
b) Winning the Silver Medal in the World Skills Competition or the Gold Medal in the Asian Skills Competition.
3. Award the Third Class Labor Medal to students and learners who achieve one of the following accomplishments:
a) Winning the Silver Medal in international Olympic competitions for subjects or second prize in international scientific and technical research competitions or the Gold Medal in the Asian Olympic competitions for subjects;
b) Winning the Bronze Medal in the World Skills Competition or the Silver Medal in the Asian Skills Competition.
4. Award the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam to students and learners who achieve one of the following accomplishments:
a) Winning the Bronze Medal in international Olympic competitions for subjects or third prize in international scientific and technical research competitions or the Silver Medal in the Asian Olympic competitions for subjects;
b) Winning the Bronze Medal in the Asian Skills Competition or the Gold Medal in the Southeast Asian Skills Competition.

What is the prize for Vietnamese students, who receive for winning the Gold Medal in the World Skills Competition?
Based on Article 5 of Decree 110/2020/ND-CP, the prize for students and learners winning prizes in national and international competitions is as follows:
Reward Amount
1. Students, learners who win prizes in international Olympic competitions for subjects, international scientific and technical research competitions, and world skills competitions are rewarded as follows:
a) Gold Medal or first prize: 55 million VND;
b) Silver Medal or second prize: 35 million VND;
c) Bronze Medal or third prize: 25 million VND;
d) Encouragement prize: 10 million VND.
2. Students, learners who win prizes in the Asian Olympic competitions for subjects and the Asian skills competitions are rewarded as follows:
a) Gold Medal: 35 million VND;
b) Silver Medal: 25 million VND;
c) Bronze Medal: 10 million VND;
d) Encouragement prize: 8 million VND.
3. Students, learners who win prizes in the Southeast Asian skills competitions are rewarded as follows:
a) Gold Medal: 25 million VND;
b) Silver Medal: 10 million VND;
c) Bronze Medal: 8 million VND;
d) Encouragement prize: 5 million VND.
4. Students, learners who win prizes in national competitions stipulated in clause 1 of Article 2 of this Decree are rewarded as follows:
a) First Prize: 4 million VND;
b) Second Prize: 2 million VND;
c) Third Prize: 1 million VND.

Thus, when winning the Gold Medal in the World Skills Competition, students are rewarded with a prize amount of 55 million VND.
What is the reward accompanying the medal for Vietnamese students winning the Gold Medal in the World Skills Competition?
Based on Article 55 of Decree 98/2023/ND-CP:
Reward Amounts for Various Medals
1. Individuals receiving or posthumously receiving various types of medals will be awarded a Certificate, frame, and medal along with the following reward amounts:
a) “Golden Star Medal”: 46.0 times the statutory pay rate;
b) “Ho Chi Minh Medal”: 30.5 times the statutory pay rate;
c) “First Class Independence Medal”, “First Class Military Merit Medal”: 15.0 times the statutory pay rate;
d) “Second Class Independence Medal”, “Second Class Military Merit Medal”: 12.5 times the statutory pay rate;
e) “Third Class Independence Medal”, “Third Class Military Merit Medal”: 10.5 times the statutory pay rate;
f) “First Class Labor Medal”, “First Class Victory Medal”, “First Class National Defense Medal”: 9.0 times the statutory pay rate;
g) “Second Class Labor Medal”, “Second Class Victory Medal”, “Second Class National Defense Medal”, “Great National Unity Medal”: 7.5 times the statutory pay rate;
h) “Third Class Labor Medal”, “Third Class Victory Medal”, “Third Class National Defense Medal” and “Bravery Medal”: 4.5 times the statutory pay rate.
2. Collectives awarded various medals will be awarded the Certificate, frame, medal along with a reward amount double the amount specified for individuals in clause 1 of this Article.
Based on Article 3 of Decree 73/2024/ND-CP, the statutory pay rate is 2,340,000 VND/month.
Therefore, students who win the Gold Medal in the World Skills Competition are also awarded an additional amount of 17,550,000 VND along with the First Class Labor Medal.
