Based on Subsection 5 Section A Part 4 Regulations on minimum knowledge volume, competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation at the intermediate level, college level for sectors, occupations in the fields of journalism, information, business, and management (hereinafter referred to as the Regulations) issued together with Circular 41/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, college students in business accounting can perform the following jobs:

- Cash accounting;

- Inventory accounting and payable to vendors;

- Fixed assets accounting, investment real estate, financial investments, and loans;

- Sales accounting and customer receivables;

- Payroll accounting, salary deductions;

- Cost accounting and pricing;

- Tax accounting;

- General accounting.

Based on Subsection 1 Section A Part 4 Regulations issued together with Circular 41/2018/TT-BLDTBXH:

General introduction about the sector, occupation

Business accounting at the college level is a field that collects, processes accounting information, data; checks, analyzes, and provides information on the financial usage of enterprises, meeting level 5 requirements in Vietnam's national qualification framework.

Business accounting plays an important role in economic management, providing human resources in the accounting field for enterprises of various ownership types: state enterprises, joint-stock companies, limited liability companies, private enterprises; and scales: large, medium, small, micro; sectors: production, commerce, services, construction.

The main tasks of the sector, occupation include: collecting, processing accounting information, data according to job content; recording, calculating, reflecting the current amount, circulation and use of assets, materials, and capital; checking, supervising receipts and expenditures, payment obligations, debt payments; checking asset management, origin of assets; calculating costs, providing data, documents, checking and analyzing the financial activities of the enterprise.

Minimum knowledge volume: 2,500 hours (equivalent to 90 credits).

Thus, the minimum knowledge volume of the business accounting major at the college level in Vietnam is 2,500 hours (equivalent to 90 credits).

What are the minimum skill requirements for college graduates in business accounting in Vietnam?

Based on Subsection 3 Section A Part 4 Regulations issued together with Circular 41/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum skill requirements for college graduates in business accounting are as follows:

- Organize financial accounting tasks suitable for each enterprise;

- Establish relationships with banks, credit institutions, and regulatory authorities;

- Prepare documents, check, classify, and handle accounting documents according to job positions;

- Use accounting documents to record detailed and general accounting books;

- Develop a cost norm system;

- Allocate pre-received revenue, recognize revenue, income on an accrual basis;

- Allocate pre-paid expenses, provisions suitable for business activities;

- Adjust exchange rates related to foreign currencies;

- Prepare corporate financial plans;

- Prepare financial and tax reports for the enterprise;

- Develop corporate management accounting reports;

- Analyze some financial and economic indicators of the enterprise;

- Inspect and evaluate the financial accounting of the enterprise;

- Provide comprehensive economic information about unit production and business activities to serve leadership and economic management needs at the unit;

- Advise enterprise leaders on reforms to make accounting and financial management in compliance with laws;

- Report to unit leaders and propose accurate solutions for economic and financial activities of the unit to comply with the law and achieve higher efficiency;

- Use basic information technology as stipulated; proficiently use 2 to 3 common enterprise accounting software; use software for tax declaration, customs declaration, digital signatures for tax filing and electronic tax payment;

- Use basic foreign language, achieve level 2/6 in Vietnam's foreign language proficiency framework; apply foreign language skills to professional work in the sector, occupation.

What are the minimum knowledge requirements for college graduates in business accounting in Vietnam?

Based on Subsection 2 Section A Part 4 Regulations issued together with Circular 41/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum knowledge requirements for college graduates in business accounting are as follows:

- Present accounting standards;

- Describe accounting policies;

- Present the legal document system on tax;

- Know the method of using English in communication, in research to draft commercial contracts;

- Identify the position and role of accounting in the economic sector;

- Describe the organizational structure, functions, tasks of the departments in an enterprise, relationship between departments in an enterprise;

- Apply related legal documents to the economic sector;

- Name the accounting document types used in job positions;

- Present the method of preparing accounting documents; accounting methods for economic transactions in the enterprise;

- Present the process of building cost norms;

- Allocate pre-received revenue, recognize revenue, income on an accrual basis;

- Allocate pre-paid expenses, provisions suitable for business activities;

- Adjust exchange rates related to foreign currencies;

- Present detailed and general accounting book-keeping methods; methods of collecting, arranging, managing, and storing accounting documents, books; checking, reconciliation, handling methods in accounting; methods for tax declaration, report seals; financial report preparation methods; methods for preparing management accounting reports; methods for analyzing the financial status of the enterprise;

- Present tax declaration software, customs declaration software, know how to use digital signatures for filing tax declarations, electronic tax payment;

- Present basic knowledge about politics, culture, society, law, national defense and security, physical education as prescribed.
