Cybersecurity associate degree is a field of study that involves:
- Ensuring information safety and security; conducting needs assessment, consulting, designing, and implementing network security systems, and information safety;
- Analyzing, detecting, and exploiting security vulnerabilities in network systems, setting up network security policies and procedures;
- Reporting on operational status and risks;
- Configuring, operating, and guiding end-users to ensure information security.
Main tasks of a network administration associate degree include:
- Establishing and managing network infrastructure security;
- Establishing and managing network service security;
- Securing database management systems;
- Analyzing and handling malware;
- Exploiting and remediate security vulnerabilities; consulting, analyzing cybersecurity issues;
- Managing and monitoring network system security.
Minimum knowledge volume of the network administration associate degree: 2,160 hours (equivalent to 85 credits).

- Utilize basic information technology as stipulated;
- Set up firewall systems, endpoint security systems, intrusion detection, and prevention systems to protect network systems;
- Configure security for server systems, network services, and database systems;
- Analyze and handle static and dynamic malware: data encryption, data theft, various types of malware text;
- Detect and remedy security vulnerabilities: vulnerabilities of devices, applications, and users;
- Manage and monitor information security risks. Utilize tools to check, evaluate security;
- Manage information security policy systems;
- Provide cybersecurity consultancy for agencies, enterprises;
- Develop cybersecurity systems for agencies, enterprises;
- Keep logs and report on tasks and progress;
- Implement industrial hygiene measures and labor safety;
- Read and comprehend IT and cybersecurity specialized documents in English;
- Communicate effectively through writing, presenting, discussing, negotiating, and mastering situations;
- Utilize basic information technology as stipulated; exploit, handle, apply information technology in professional tasks;
