What are admission procedures for admitted university students in Vietnam in 2024?

Based on Article 21 of the Regulations issued along with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT on university admission confirmation for the academic year 2024-2025:

Notification of Results and Admission Confirmation

1. The training institution sends the admission notice to the admitted candidates, specifying the necessary procedures and methods of admission.

2. Candidates confirm their admission via the online system before enrolling at the training institution.

3. For candidates who do not confirm their admission within the stipulated timeframe:

a) If there is no valid reason, it is considered that the candidate has declined the admission, and the training institution has the right not to accept the candidate;

b) If due to illness, accident (with certification from a district hospital or higher) or natural disasters (with certification from the District People's Committee or higher), the training institution shall consider whether to accept the candidate or to reserve their admission results for future enrollment;

c) If due to errors or mistakes made by the admission staff or the candidate, the training institution shall cooperate with the relevant individuals and organizations to review the evidence and decide whether to accept the candidate or to reserve their admission results for future enrollment.

4. Candidates who have confirmed their admission to one training institution are not allowed to participate in the admissions process at another institution or in supplementary admission rounds, except with the permission of the training institution.

Thus, the procedures for university admission for admitted students in 2024 involve the following steps:

Step 1: Confirm admission online on the Ministry of Education and Training's System.

Step 2: Complete the necessary procedures and methods of admission mentioned in the admission notice.

Step 3: Prepare and submit all required documents for enrollment.

From August 28, 2024, to December 2024, candidates who wish to be considered for supplementary admissions to training institutions, following the training institution's admission scheme published on the institution's admissions information page (if the training institution conducts supplementary admissions). Admitted candidates and those who have confirmed their admission are not allowed to participate in supplementary admissions unless permitted by the head of the training institution.

Therefore, candidates who wish to be considered for supplementary admissions to the training institution should follow the admission scheme published on the training institution's admissions information page (if the training institution conducts supplementary admissions) from August 28, 2024, to December 2024.

Instructions for accessing the link to confirm university admission in 2024 in Vietnam

The instructions for admission confirmation based on Official Dispatch 1957/BGDDT-GDDH in 2024 are as follows:

- For admitted candidates eligible for direct admission, from July 22, 2024, to 17:00 on July 31, 2024, candidates can confirm their admission on the System (candidates who have confirmed their admission will not be allowed to continue registering for NVXT, except for those allowed not to enroll by the head of the training institution).

In cases where admission has not been confirmed, candidates may continue to register for NVXT on the System or the National Public Service Portal like other candidates. If admitted, they will confirm their admission following the common schedule;

- No later than 17:00 on August 27, 2024, all admitted candidates must complete their online admission confirmation for round 1 on the System.

As such, based on the above regulation, admitted candidates will confirm their admission for the first round from July 22, 2024, to 17:00 on July 31, 2024, for candidates eligible for direct admission.

*Note: (candidates who have confirmed their admission will not be allowed to continue registering for NVXT, except for those allowed not to enroll by the head of the training institution).

No later than 17:00 on August 27, 2024, all admitted candidates must complete their online admission confirmation for round 1 on the System.

Results will prioritize the candidates' top preferences.
