What are awards for grade 9 students in Vietnam?
Based on Article 15 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT stipulating the rewards for students:
Awards
- The Principal awards certificates to students:
a) Year-end rewards
- Commendation for the title "Excellent Student" for students whose conduct rating for the entire academic year is rated as Good, whose academic results for the entire year are rated as Good, and have at least 06 subjects assessed by a combination of comments and scores attaining an average subject core grade (DTBMCN) of 9.0 or higher.
- Commendation for the title "Good Student" for students whose conduct rating for the entire academic year is rated as Good and whose academic results for the entire year are rated as Good.
b) Recognition of students with extraordinary achievements in conduct and academic studies during the school year.
- Students with special achievements are considered by the school for recommendation for higher-level commendation.
Thus, according to the above regulations, grade 9 students can be awarded two titles: the title of Excellent Student and Good Student at the end of the year if they meet the conditions for conduct and academic performance.
Additionally, if a grade 9 student has extraordinary achievements in conduct and study, they will also receive a certificate from the Principal, or if having special achievements, they will be considered by the school and recommended for higher-level commendation.
What are responsibilities of a grade 9 homeroom teacher in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Article 20 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT regarding the responsibilities of the homeroom teacher:
- Assisting the Principal in managing the evaluation of students in the class according to this Circular.
- Verifying the correction of marks and evaluation levels by subject teachers; compiling the conduct and academic results of each student for each semester and the whole school year in the Student Monitoring and Evaluation Record (per class), Student Report Card.
- Evaluating the conduct results for each semester and the whole school year of students; compiling lists of students promoted, retaking subjects, retraining during summer, not promoted, awarded.
- Recording or entering each student's evaluation results into the Student Monitoring and Evaluation Record (per class), Student Report Card:
+ Comments on the conduct and academic results of students; level of evaluation of student conduct and academic results.
+ Results on being promoted or not; recognition of completion of secondary school, high school program or not; awards.
- Guiding students to self-assess during their conduct and academic process. Coordinating with subject teachers, the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Class Parent Representative Board, and relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals to educate students and receive feedback on students' conduct and academic process.
- Privately informing parents about their children's conduct and academic process, and results.
