What is the sample exam papers of Physics subject for the High School Graduation Exam from 2025 in Vietnam?
On October 18, 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam announced 18 sample exam papers for the High School Graduation Exam starting in 2025. Among them is the sample Physics exam paper for the High School Graduation Exam (download).
The sample Physics exam paper for the High School Graduation Exam in 2025 consists of 4 pages, comprising a total of 28 questions, including multiple-choice and essay questions. The exam duration is 50 minutes (excluding the time allotted for distributing the exam paper).
Additionally, the Ministry of Education and Training has attached the answer key for the exam on page number 5.

How many exam papers are in the High School Graduation Exam in Vietnam?
According to Article 3 of the High School Graduation Exam Regulations issued with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDDT (amended by clause 1 Article 1 Circular 02/2024/TT-BGDDT), the number of exams in the High School Graduation Exam is regulated as follows:
Exam Papers
Five (5) exams will be held, including: three (3) independent exams: Mathematics, Literature, Foreign Language (English, Russian, French, Chinese, German, Japanese, and Korean); one (1) Natural Science complex exam (abbreviated as NS) consisting of the component subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology; one (1) Social Science complex exam (abbreviated as SS) consisting of the component subjects of History, Geography, Civic Education for students in the general education program at the high school level or the component subjects of History, Geography for students in the continuing education program at the high school level.
Thus, there is a total of 5 (five) exams in the High School Graduation Exam, including:
- Three (3) independent exams: Mathematics, Literature, Foreign Language (English, Russian, French, Chinese, German, Japanese, and Korean);
- One (1) Natural Science complex exam (abbreviated as NS) consisting of the component subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology;
- One (1) Social Science complex exam (abbreviated as SS) consisting of the component subjects of History, Geography, Civic Education for students in the general education program at the high school level or the component subjects of History, Geography for students in the continuing education program at the high school level.
Who is exempt from all exams of the High School Graduation Exam in Vietnam?
According to the provisions of Article 36 of the High School Graduation Exam Regulations issued with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDDT, the individuals exempt from all exams of the High School Graduation Exam are:
(1) Individuals summoned to participate in the national team selection exam for the international or regional cultural Olympiad are exempt from all exams of the High School Graduation Exam if they meet the following conditions:
- Summoned in the second semester of grade 12;
- The year-end grade 12 conduct and academic performance are rated good and above average, respectively;
- Included in the exemption list of the Ministry of Education and Training.
(2) Members of the team participating in international or regional scientific, technical, cultural-artistic Olympiads are exempt from all exams of the High School Graduation Exam if they meet the following conditions:
- Summoned in the second semester of grade 12;
- The year-end grade 12 conduct and academic performance are rated average and above average, respectively;
- Listed in the exemption proposal and confirmed to participate in training and examination by the relevant authority sent to the local Department of Education and Training before the graduation exam date.
(3) Persons with severe disabilities and severe disabilities according to clause 1, clause 2 Article 3 of Decree 28/2012/ND-CP; individuals active in the resistance who are exposed to toxic chemicals reducing work capacity by 61% or more; children of resistance workers exposed to toxic chemicals reducing work capacity by 61% or more, must meet the following conditions:
- For persons with disabilities following the general education program: Completed the high school program; eligible for the exam according to clause 2 Article 12; have a disability certification issued by a competent authority;
- For persons with disabilities who cannot follow the general education program:
+ Confirmed by the principal of the high school where they are enrolled for the results of the implementation of individual education plans each year at the high school level;
+ Have a disability certification issued by a competent authority;
- For resistance workers, children of resistance workers exposed to toxic chemicals:
+ Completed the high school program;
+ Eligible for the exam according to clause 2 Article 12 of the High School Graduation Exam Regulations issued with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDDT;
+ Have a certification of exposure to toxic chemicals and a work capacity reduction of 61% or more issued by a competent authority.
