When does the High School Graduation Exam in 2025 occur?

Based on Article 1 of Decision 2045/QD-BGDDT 2024 on the schedule framework for the academic year 2024 - 2025:

Issuance of the schedule framework for the academic year 2024 - 2025 for preschool, general education, and continuing education nationwide as follows:

1. The earliest date for school reopening is one week before the school opening ceremony. Particularly for grade 1, school reopening is two weeks earlier.

2. The school opening ceremony is held on September 5, 2024.

3. The first semester ends before January 18, 2025, with the program and academic year concluding before May 31, 2025.

4. Recognition for completion of primary school and recognition of junior high school graduation by June 30, 2025.

5. Completion of admissions to new grade levels by July 31, 2025.

6. The High School Graduation Exam in 2025 is expected to take place on June 26 and June 27, 2025.

7. Other national exams will be organized following the regulations and guidelines from the Ministry of Education and Training.

What are the criteria and conditions for those participating in organizing the High School Graduation Exam in 2025 in Vietnam?

Based on Article 6 of the Draft Circular on the Regulations of High School Graduation Examination (Download):

- Participants in organizing the exam must:

+ Possess good moral character, have a lawful mindset and high sense of responsibility;

+ Be proficient in examination tasks;

+ Not be under disciplinary action or investigation or criminal prosecution or someone who has legal violations that have been disciplined or convicted and have not yet completed the period of disciplinary or record clearance.

- Individuals with a wife, husband, parent, child, full sibling, parent, or sibling in-law; guardian; or ward (commonly referred to as relatives) taking the exam in the year are not allowed to participate in: the examination boards at any level, drafting exam papers, printing and copying exam papers, invigilating exams, code-marking, scoring exams, reassessment, and auditing scores.

- In addition to the criteria and conditions specified in clauses 1 and 2 of this Article, those involved in drafting and grading essay exams must possess good professional expertise.

What are the security and confidentiality requirements for the 2025 exam papers in Vietnam?

Exam papers and the requirements for their security and declassification:

- In one exam session, each subject has an official exam paper and a backup paper. The exam paper must meet the following requirements:

+ The content of the exam paper responds to the provisions in clause 2 of Article 4 of this Regulation;

+ Ensure accuracy, scientific basis, and pedagogical qualities; wording must be clear;

+ Align closely with the knowledge and skill standards of the High School program; ensure student differentiation;

+ Essay exam papers must clearly state the score for each question; the scores for essay and multiple-choice tests are standardized on a scale of 10 (ten) both for the entire test and all elective subject tests;

+ Each exam paper must come with an answer key; essay exams have additional grading guides;

+ The exam paper must clearly indicate the number of pages (for exam papers with two or more pages); clearly state the word "END" at the conclusion of the exam paper.

- Unpublicized exam papers, answers belong to the "Top Secret" state secret list. The duration for protecting "Top Secret" state secrets of exam papers:

+ For essay exams, it ends when two-thirds (2/3) of the exam duration is over; for multiple-choice exams, it ends at the end of the exam session;

+ Unused backup papers are declassified immediately after the last exam session of the Examination.
