Salary Classification
- Public employees appointed to the professional title of students' counselor specified in this Circular shall apply the salary table for public employees under Table 3 (specialized, professional salary table for officials and public employees in state public service providers) promulgated together with Decree No. 204/2004/ND-CP dated December 14, 2004, of the Government of Vietnam on salary policies for officials, public employees, and armed forces (hereinafter referred to as Decree No. 204/2004/ND-CP). To be specific:
a) The professional title of rank III students' counselor public employee (code V.07.07.24) applies the salary coefficient of public employees of type A1, from salary coefficient 2.34 to salary coefficient 4.98;
b) The professional title of rank II students' counselor public employee (code V.07.07.23) applies the salary coefficient of public employees of type A2 (group A2.2), from salary coefficient 4.00 to salary coefficient 6.38;
c) The professional title of rank I students' counselor public employee (code V.07.07.22) applies the salary coefficient of public employees of type A2 (group A2.1), from salary coefficient 4.40 to salary coefficient 6.78.

What are the duties of a rank 3 students' counselor in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 4 of Circular 11/2024/TT-BGDDT, the duties of a rank 3 students' counselor in Vietnam are specified as follows:
- Advise on the development and implementation of the school's student counseling work plan; report regularly and periodically as prescribed;
- Manage and monitor records and documents related to student counseling work;
- Conduct counseling, support activities for students facing difficulties in cognition, emotions, behavior, and social relationships that affect the development of their capacities and qualities;
- Lead in cooperation with teachers, staff in the school, and external organizations and individuals to organize evaluation, review, prevention, and carry out counseling, support activities for students (including individual counseling, group counseling, or collective counseling) through direct, indirect, or online counseling forms;
- Coordinate with teachers in activities related to student counseling, support;
- Complete training programs; self-study, self-improvement, enhancing professional competencies;
- Perform other tasks assigned by the principal.
