According to the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the theme for Lifelong Learning Week 2024 within the city is Developing a Reading Culture to Promote Lifelong Learning.
The Objectives and Requirements of Lifelong Learning Week 2024 for the education sector of Ho Chi Minh City are as follows:
- Continue to actively promote the learning movement widely among various classes of people, help raise awareness, enhance responsibility, interest, and active participation from all levels of government, sectors, organizations, associations, and social forces in developing a reading culture to promote lifelong learning - one of the issues of national strategic significance in improving public knowledge, developing human resources, nurturing talents, a determining factor for sustainable development and success.
- Strengthen the role of the educational and training establishments in guiding and organizing reading promotion activities for staff, teachers, students, trainees, scholars, and the public, contributing to the widespread learning movement among various classes of people; diversify forms of learning (class learning, regular school learning, outside school learning, online learning, distance learning, peer learning, etc.);
