3. Agencies and units implementing the Lunar New Year and Independence Day holiday schedules in 2024 should ensure appropriate work arrangements to continuously handle tasks and ensure good service for organizations and the public.

4. Agencies and units that do not implement fixed weekly leave on Saturday and Sunday will base on their specific programs and plans to arrange suitable leave schedules.

5. For employees not under the scope specified in Clause 1 of this Announcement, employers will decide on the Lunar New Year and Independence Day holiday schedules for 2024 as follows:

- For the Lunar New Year holiday: choose 1 day at the end of the Year of the Cat and 4 days at the beginning of the Year of the Dragon or 2 days at the end of the Year of the Cat and 3 days at the beginning of the Year of the Dragon or 3 days at the end of the Year of the Cat and 2 days at the beginning of the Year of the Dragon.

- For the Independence Day holiday: Monday, September 02, 2024 of the Gregorian calendar and choose 1 of 2 days: Sunday, September 01, 2024 or Tuesday, September 03, 2024 of the Gregorian calendar.

- Notify employees of the Lunar New Year and Independence Day holiday schedules at least 30 days before implementation.

- If the weekly day off coincides with the holiday as specified in Clause 1, Article 112 of the Labor Code, employees are entitled to a compensated weekly day off on the next working day as per Clause 3, Article 111 of the Labor Code.

- Employers are encouraged to apply the Lunar New Year holiday schedule for employees as prescribed for officials and public employees.
