According to Decision 2045/QD-BGDDT of 2024 regarding the framework for the 2024 - 2025 academic year plan in Vietnam for preschool, general education, and continuing education.
The Ministry of Education and Training issues a framework for the 2024 - 2025 academic year plan applicable nationwide for preschool, general education, and continuing education as follows:
- Start classes at the earliest 1 week before the school opening day. Particularly for grade 1, start classes at the earliest 2 weeks before the school opening day.
- Organize the school opening on September 5, 2024.
- Conclude the first semester before January 18, 2025, and complete the program to conclude the school year before May 31, 2025.
- Recognize the completion of primary education and lower secondary graduation before June 30, 2025.
- Complete enrollment for beginning grades before July 31, 2025.
- The high school graduation exam in 2025 is expected to take place on June 26 and 27, 2025.
