Based on Subsection 7, Section 1 of Official Dispatch 1957/BGDDT-GDDH 2024, the guidance is as follows:
Registration and Handling of options:
a) From July 18 to 5:00 PM on July 30, 2024, candidates can register, adjust, and supplement unlimited options:
- Candidates use the already provided account to handle their information (enter, view, edit) on the System;

b) From July 31 to 5:00 PM on August 6, 2024:
Candidates must pay the evaluation fee for the number of options online according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training;
c) Candidates who fall under the policy of regional priority and target priority must cooperate with reception points to review regional information in Appendix VI and the candidate’s priority targets (if any);
Candidates must thoroughly read the guidance documents and strictly adhere to the full registration process; candidates unsure about the declaration contents or the evaluation fee payment can contact the officers at the reception points or officers of the investigation institution through the provided support phone numbers for guidance.

The amount candidates need to pay for registering options will be based on the number of options they register.
As of now, the Ministry of Education and Training has not issued any documents regarding changes in the evaluation fee for university options in 2024. Therefore, the current fee is still 20,000 VND for one university option in 2024.

What is the Schedule for submitting the online university application fee in 2024 in Vietnam?
On July 22, 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch 3712/BGDDT-CNTT 2024 regarding the implementation of online payment for university application fees in 2024.
To ensure safety, convenience, and avoid system overload during the online payment process, the Ministry of Education and Training announces the online payment schedule on the Supporting Registration System according to provinces/cities (where candidates submitted their documents).

What are the 03 basic principles in University Admissions in Vietnam?
Based on Article 4 of the University Admission Regulations, and preschool education college admission, issued together with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT, the 03 basic principles in university admission through evaluation based on high school exam results are as follows:
(1) Fairness to Candidates
- Regarding the provision of information: Every candidate should be provided with full, clear, reliable, and consistent information promptly to make suitable decisions and best prepare for participation in admissions;
- Regarding the chance to apply: No candidate should be deprived of the opportunity to apply due to regulations unrelated to qualifications or capabilities (except for special provisions by the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense in security and defense fields); or due to cumbersome or costly admission processes;
- Regarding the evaluation of capability: Candidates must be objectively, fairly, and reliably evaluated regarding their academic ability and potential to meet the program and field requirements;
- Regarding the chance of admission: Candidates should be given the highest possible chance for admission and the right to determine their priority among eligible programs and fields;
- Regarding fulfillment of commitments: Institutions must honor their commitments to candidates; provide support, address complaints, and protect the legitimate rights of candidates in case of risks.
(2) Equality Among Educational Institutions
- Regarding cooperation: Educational institutions must cooperate equally to enhance the quality and efficiency of admissions, providing the best benefits for candidates;
- Regarding competition: Institutions must compete truthfully, fairly, and healthily in admissions, according to competition law regulations.
(3) Transparency to Society
- Regarding information transparency: Institutions are responsible for publicly disclosing admission information fully, clearly, and promptly through appropriate media channels for social and governmental oversight;
- Regarding accountability: Institutions must report as required by regulatory agencies and account to society through suitable means about significant issues causing public concern.
