[1] Compulsory subjects and educational activities: Literature; Mathematics; Foreign Language 1; Physical Education; National Defense and Security Education; Experiential and Career Guidance Activities; Local Educational Content.

- Social Science Group: History, Geography, Economics, and Law Education.

- Natural Science Group: Physics, Chemistry, Biology.

[3] Students choose 5 subjects from the 3 subject groups above, with at least one subject chosen from each group.

The time allocated for each study theme is 10 or 15 periods; the total time for a cluster of study themes of one subject is 35 periods per school year. In grades 10, 11, and 12, students choose 3 study theme clusters from 3 subjects that align with their interests and the school's organizational capacity.

[5] Schools can create combinations of courses from the 3 subject groups and study themes mentioned above to meet students' needs while ensuring it aligns with the school's resources in terms of teaching staff, facilities, and teaching equipment.

Academic Year 2024-2025: Continue using the 2018 General Education Program officially implemented for all grade levels

Based on Article 2 of Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the 2018 General Education Program is implemented according to the following timeline:

- From the academic year 2020-2021 for grade 1.

- From the academic year 2021-2022 for grades 2 and 6.

- From the academic year 2022-2023 for grades 3, 7, and 10.

- From the academic year 2023-2024 for grades 4, 8, and 11.

- From the academic year 2024-2025 for grades 5, 9, and 12.
