Under Section 5 of the General education program in Physics issued along with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT:
Required outcomes
Topic 10.1. Physics in Several Professions
- Discuss, propose, select, and perform a Learning Task to:
+ Outline the emergence and initial achievements of experimental physics.
+ Describe briefly the role of Newtonian mechanics in the development of Physics.
+ List some major branches of classical physics research.
+ Describe the crisis of physics at the end of the 19th century, the premise for the birth of modern physics.
+ List some major fields of modern physics.
- Describe research subjects; list a few simple theoretical models and some experimental methods of some major fields of modern physics.
- Discuss, propose, select, and perform a Learning Task to explore the scientific models and theories developed and applied to improve current technologies as well as develop new technologies.
- Provide a real-world example of using physics knowledge in various fields (Military; Nuclear Industry, Meteorology; Agriculture, Forestry; Finance; Electronics; Mechanics, Automation; Information, communication; Scientific research).*
In the 10th-grade Physics curriculum, students will be taught about providing real-world examples of using physics knowledge in various fields (Military; Nuclear Industry; Meteorology; Agriculture).
Thus, according to the above regulations, 10th-grade students will learn about the nuclear industry.
What are the regulations on the assessment of 10th-grade students in Physics?
Under Section 7 of the General education program in Physics issued along with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the Physics assessment for 10th-grade students is as follows:
- Reasonably combine teacher assessment with peer and self-assessment of students.
- Assess through observation of group activities inside and outside the classroom, observing practical operations, physics experiments, and analyzing presentations.
- Assess through oral questions and evaluation of exercises, tests, notebooks, practical report results, project study results, research project results, and other learning portfolios;
- Assess using a combination of subjective and objective testing methods; combining formative and summative assessment; regular and periodic assessment.
