Based on Article 1 of Decision 2045/QD-BGDDT in 2024:
Issuing the framework for the academic year 2024 - 2025 concerning preschool, general, and continuing education applied nationwide as follows:
1. Earliest school entry is one week before the opening day. For grade 1, the earliest school entry is two weeks before the opening day.
2. Organize the opening ceremony on September 5, 2024.
3. Conclude the first semester before January 18, 2025, and complete the program and conclude the academic year before May 31, 2025.
4. Evaluate and recognize the completion of primary school and middle school graduation before June 30, 2025.
5. Complete the admissions for new first-year students before July 31, 2025.
6. The national high school graduation exam in 2025 is expected to take place on June 26 and 27, 2025.
7. Other national exams are organized according to the regulations and guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training.

+ Students receive a discount on service fees when directly using services including museums, historical sites, libraries, and exhibitions;
+ Cultural and entertainment establishments issue discount tickets to students when they present their student identification card.
- Depending on specific conditions, the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee decides the exemption and reduction levels of public service fees for students under their management authority.
- Students with disabilities are granted exemptions and reductions on public service fees in transportation, entertainment, visiting museums, historical sites, and cultural works as per Decree 28/2012/ND-CP.
Students who are entitled to social welfare policies receive exemptions and reductions on train fares according to Decree 65/2018/ND-CP.
