Gifted schools are invested with infrastructure and equipment similar to standard national high schools, and are additionally prioritized for investment in:
[1] Study rooms and support rooms in sufficient quantity, meeting the standards with synchronized equipment, ensuring the conditions for organizing two teaching sessions per day.
[2] Synchronized and modern teaching equipment serving the teaching and training of gifted students, and organizing cultural, artistic, and scientific research activities for teachers and students.
[3] Dormitories and dining rooms for students who need boarding.
[4] Housing for teachers.
[5] Stadiums, multi-purpose halls, swimming pools, and other sports equipment and tools.

How are professional groups in gifted schools organized in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Article 9 of the Regulation on the organization and operation of gifted schools issued together with Circular 05/2023/TT-BGDDT, professional groups in gifted schools are organized as follows:
The professional groups of Gifted schools are established and perform their duties in accordance with the Charter of secondary schools, high schools, and combined schools. Additionally, they have the following tasks:
- Develop programs and build specialized teaching materials based on the advanced educational program for specialized subjects as stipulated by the Minister of Education and Training; research and apply advanced teaching methods, assessment methods in teaching, and evaluate the learning and training outcomes of students.
- Advise the principal on building and implementing cooperation plans between the school and other high-quality educational and research institutions domestically and internationally to enhance education and management quality.
- Organize scientific research, create teaching equipment and tools; support teachers in scientific research and guide students in scientific research.
- Build a team of core professional teachers for the educational activities of the school, province, and centrally-managed city.
- Organize the professional development and skill training of the members within the department.
- Monitor the study and work process of former students.
- Annually organize at least one professional meeting inviting teachers from other secondary and high schools to share solutions and outcomes of the department in effectively applying educational programs, teaching methods, and advanced assessment methods both domestically and internationally.
How are gifted schools prioritized for investment in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 5 of the Regulation on the organization and operation of gifted schools issued together with Circular 05/2023/TT-BGDDT, gifted schools are prioritized for investment as follows:
- Gifted schools are prioritized for:
+ Allocating sufficient management staff, teachers, and staff according to the prescribed payroll;
+ Investing in uniformly and modernly constructed infrastructure and teaching equipment in accordance with legal regulations;
+ Allocating regular expenditure funds according to legal regulations to ensure educational activities;
+ Inviting domestic and foreign teachers, lecturers, and experts to provide lectures, professional training, and scientific research guidance for management staff, teachers, and students according to the regulations;
+ Universities with Gifted schools are provided conditions to utilize the infrastructure, teaching equipment, laboratories, practical rooms, and lecturers of the university to conduct teaching and training for students.
- The People's Committee of the province or centrally-managed city (hereinafter referred to as the provincial People's Committee) shall submit to the competent authority for decision the budget investment policies for the Gifted schools in the province as per legal regulations on infrastructure and preferential policies for management staff, teachers, and staff. It shall also facilitate the training and professional development for management staff and teachers in specialized classes per Clause 1, Article 8 of the Regulation on the organization and operation of gifted schools issued together with Circular 05/2023/TT-BGDDT for domestic and foreign training and professional development.
- Universities with Gifted schools shall decide on additional policies to invest in quality assurance conditions for Gifted schools under their jurisdiction according to legal regulations.
