1. Types of subject-based classrooms
a) Primary schools have the following subject-based classrooms: Science - Technology (used for Natural and Social Sciences, Science, and Technology subjects), Informatics, Foreign Languages, Music, Fine Arts, and Multi-functional rooms;
b) Lower secondary schools have the following subject-based classrooms: Natural Sciences, Technology, Informatics, Foreign Languages, Music, Fine Arts, Multi-functional rooms, Social Sciences (used for Civic Education, History, and Geography subjects);
c) Upper secondary schools have the following subject-based classrooms: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Technology, Informatics, Foreign Languages, Music, Fine Arts, Multi-functional rooms, Social Sciences (used for History, Geography, Economic and Legal Education subjects);
d) Schools with multiple educational levels will determine subject-based classrooms based on regulations at Points a, b, and c, Clause 1 of this Article. subject-based classrooms in schools with multiple educational levels will be arranged separately for each level, except for some subject-based classrooms that can be used jointly for multiple subjects, ensuring the requirements of content, methods, and forms of teaching organization.
2. The number of subject-based classrooms in general education institutions is implemented according to the regulations on the standards of physical facilities of general education institutions issued by the Minister of Education and Training.
3. The name of the subject-based classroom is based on the name of the subject or its utility. General education institutions having multiple subject-based classrooms for the same subject will add a sequence number to distinguish them.
Thus, lower secondary schools will have subject-based classrooms for following subjects: Natural Sciences, Technology, Informatics, Foreign Languages, Music, Fine Arts, Multi-functional rooms, and Social Sciences (used for Civic Education, History, and Geography subjects).
Therefore, the computer room (also known as the Informatics room) in a lower secondary school is one of the subject-based classrooms.

Standards for subject-based classrooms
1. The minimum working area of a subject-based classroom is calculated based on the minimum working area per student
a) Primary schools
For Informatics, Foreign Languages, and Multi-functional classrooms, the minimum working area per student is 1.50m2 and each room has an area not smaller than 50m2;
For Science - Technology, Music, and Fine Arts subject-based classrooms, the minimum working area per student is 1.85m2 and each room has an area not smaller than 50m2.
b) Lower secondary schools
For Natural Sciences, Informatics, Foreign Languages, and Multi-functional subject-based classrooms, the minimum working area per student is 1.85m2 and each room has an area not smaller than 60m2;
For Technology, Music, and Fine Arts subject-based classrooms, the minimum working area per student is 2.25m2 and each room has an area not smaller than 60m2;
For Social Sciences subject-based classrooms (used for Civic Education, History, and Geography subjects), the minimum working area per student is 1.50m2 and each room has an area not smaller than 60m2.
