What are the regulations on the assessment of education results for 11th-grade technology in Vietnam?
According to Section 7 of the General Education Program for Technology issued together with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the regulations on the assessment of education results for 11th-grade technology in Vietnam are as follows:
- The purpose of assessment is to provide accurate, timely, valuable information on the level of meeting the requirements for qualities, competencies, and the progress of students throughout the learning process, thereby adjusting teaching and learning activities.
- Assessment basis, assessment criteria, and forms of assessment ensure suitability with goals, requirements for main qualities, general competencies, and technological competencies. The assessment of practical activities; application of knowledge and skills to create student products; knowledge to practical situations must be focused on.
- The diversity of assessment methods and forms must be used to ensure a comprehensive evaluation of students; emphasize assessment through observation in process-oriented and product-oriented assessments. For each learning task, assessment criteria are fully designed, based on achievable requirements, and announced at the beginning to guide students in the learning task process; assessment tools must reflect the achievable requirements outlined in each topic and content stream.
- The process assessment must be combined with summative assessment, process assessment must be conducted regularly, continuously, and integrated into teaching activities, ensuring assessment objectives for student progress; and encouraging self-evaluation and peer evaluation.
