Based on Subsection 5, Section B, Part 15 of the Regulations on the minimum required knowledge, and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from vocational and college level for technical fields in electricity, electronics, and telecommunications (hereinafter referred to as the Regulations) issued together with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, vocational school graduates in the electromechanics field can perform the following jobs:

- Machining mechanical parts;

- Assembling mechanics in the mechatronic system;

- Assembling electrical and electronic components in the mechatronic system;

- Assembling pneumatic and hydraulic systems in the mechatronic system;

- Operating and supervising the mechatronic system;

- Programming to control the mechatronic system;

- Programming and operating industrial robots;

- Maintaining and upgrading the mechatronic system;

- Working in sales in the mechatronic field.

What are regulations on the electromechanics of vocational level in Vietnam?

Based on Subsection 1, Section B, Part 15 of the Regulations issued together with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the vocational school level electromechanics field is defined as follows:

Vocational school level electromechanics is the industry where practitioners perform design, assembly, connection, maintenance, and related services concerning mechatronic products and automated systems, meeting level 4 requirements of the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.

Workers in the electromechanics field can work in various positions in mechatronic product manufacturing, assembly plants, automated production lines, enterprises providing repair and maintenance services for mechatronic products, mechatronic equipment suppliers, and customer care for users of mechatronic products and services.

The main tasks of the electromechanics field include: Designing mechatronic systems; analyzing the structure and operation of mechatronic systems; assembling, operating, and maintaining mechanical, electrical-electronic, hydraulic-pneumatic, and automation systems using controllers; installing and operating automatic equipment and systems; troubleshooting mechatronic equipment systems; organizing production in groups, and training junior workers.

Minimum knowledge volume: 1,600 hours (equivalent to 57 credits).

What are the knowledge requirements for students graduating from the vocational school level electromechanics field in Vietnam?

Based on Subsection 2, Section B, Part 15 of the Regulations issued together with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the knowledge requirements for students graduating from the vocational school level electromechanics field are as follows:

- Outline the regulations and standards for technical drawings in the profession;

- Present knowledge on labor safety, industrial environment;

- Describe specifications and properties of various types of materials in the field;

- Present basic knowledge on measuring tolerances, technical drawing, mechanical manufacturing technology, machine detail principles, CAD/CAM/CNC technology;

- Present basic knowledge about industrial drive energy: pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical drives, renewable energy forms; electrical-electronic knowledge: technical electronics, control drives, measuring sensors, power electronics; control techniques: relay control, PLC control, microcontrollers, industrial robots, CNC-controlled machines;

- Present basic knowledge of politics, culture, society, law, national defense, security, and physical education as required.

What are the skill requirements for students graduating from thevocational school level electromechanics field in Vietnam?

Based on Subsection 3, Section B, Part 15 of the Regulations issued together with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the skill requirements for students graduating from the vocational school level electromechanics field are as follows:

- Be able to read technical drawings of mechatronic systems, control systems, microcontrollers, etc., in the profession;

- Install, operate, and exploit mechatronic systems and products with mechanical drive systems, electrical-pneumatic systems, electrical-hydraulic systems, electrical drive control, servo-electric-hydraulic-pneumatic systems;

- Apply control methods: PLC programming, microcontroller, robots, various sensors, industrial communication networks to the assigned work;

- Apply scientific and technological advancements to practical work in the profession to serve the installation, operation, and maintenance of industrial production systems in enterprises;

- Control, monitor, and collect data of mechatronic production systems; fabricate products using CAD/CAM/CNC technology, 3D printing technology, etc.;

- Maintain and repair mechanical drive mechanisms, electrical-electronic equipment, and hydraulic-pneumatic systems in the electromechanics field;

- Utilize basic information technology as required; exploit, process, and apply information technology in the specialized work of the profession;

- Use basic foreign languages, achieving level 1/6 in the Vietnam's Foreign Language Proficiency Framework; apply foreign languages to the specialized work of the profession.
