Beauty care program at the college level in Vietnam is a direct industry and profession that improves and cares for human beauty, meeting Level 5 requirements in the Vietnamese National Qualifications Framework.
Jobs in this profession are performed in various departments within spas, salons, or resident beauty facilities, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and health-protected working environment. The intensity of work is not high but carries significant pressure to meet the diverse satisfaction requirements of beauty clients.
To practice the profession, workers must have good health, a suitable appearance, professional ethics, sufficient specialized knowledge, and skills to match the job position, as well as knowledge of beauty trends, art, and aesthetics applicable in the beauty care field.
Additionally, there is a need for continuous learning to enhance communication skills in foreign languages, broadening social knowledge, and refining meticulousness, clarity, professional consciousness, and passion for the profession.
Minimum required knowledge: 1800 hours (equivalent to 65 credits).

- Proficiently perform customer service processes;
- Proficiently perform skin care processes: facial skin care, full body skin care, specialized skin care;
- Proficiently perform nail care and nail design processes;
- Proficiently perform cosmetic makeup processes in accordance with standards;
- Proficiently perform acupressure massage processes;
- Proficiently perform eyelash extension processes;
- Safely use the equipment and cosmetics of the beauty facility;
- Develop service marketing plans;
- Develop personnel plans; assign work; train and professionally develop staff;
- Develop plans for purchasing equipment and supplies; conduct seminars or events, etc.;
- Efficiently perform daily tasks and manage working time;
- Supervise, inspect, and evaluate work results to ensure they comply with processes and standards at service departments within the beauty facility;
- Train, develop, and mentor technical skills for colleagues and staff;
- Resolve customer service requirements and situations;
- Use basic information technology according to regulations; exploit, process, and apply IT in professional jobs in the industry;

- Present the basic operational processes of beauty care: Skin care techniques, nail care, aesthetic makeup, customer care, specialized skin care, acupressure massage processes, beauty facility management, and other services;
- Enumerate the main types of equipment, tools, and cosmetics used in beauty care techniques and explain their uses;
- Present the principles of ensuring security and safety, explaining why compliance with security and safety regulations in beauty facilities is necessary to identify risks and preventive measures;
- Receive and understand customer feedback about the service;- Supervise and evaluate work results in departments of the beauty facility;
- Identify basic tasks in human resource management, facility management, financial management, marketing, and business management, service quality management, etc., in beauty facility business operations;
- Present the 5S standards at the workplace;
- Describe the network operation connection process at the workplace;
