What are the forms of state structure?
The form of state structure refers to the method of organizing and distributing state power according to the territory, as well as the relationship between the territorial entities of state power. There are three main types of state structures in the world:
- Unitary state structure:
+ Characteristics: A unitary state is a state whose national territory is divided into administrative territorial units. There is only one Constitution, one legal system, and a single system of state agencies (legislative, executive, and judiciary). Citizens have a single status.
+ Example: The Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Republic of France.
- Federal state:
+ Characteristics: A federal state is formed from the association of sovereign states or territories. Each state has its own Constitution, Congress, Government, and Supreme Court. Citizens have a distinct status in each state.
+ Example: United States of America, Federal Republic of Germany, Russian Federation.
- Confederation state:
+ Characteristics: Formed from the association of sovereign states, voluntarily uniting to form a confederation to satisfy common interests in politics, economics, or defense. This confederation can be temporary or permanent.
+ Example: European Union (EU).

What is the State policy on the dissemination and education of law in Vietnam?
Based on Article 3 of the Law on Law Dissemination and Education 2012, the policy of the State on law dissemination and education includes:
- Law dissemination and education is the responsibility of the entire political system, in which the State plays a core role.
- The State ensures necessary resources for law dissemination and education work.
- Implement private investment in law dissemination and education work; commend agencies, organizations, and individuals who have actively contributed to law dissemination and education work.
- Legal education in educational establishments of the national education system is integrated into the educational programs of all educational levels and training levels; it is a content in the educational program of lower secondary school education, upper secondary school education, vocational education, higher education.
What actions are prohibited by the State in law dissemination and education in Vietnam?
According to Article 9 of the Law on Law Dissemination and Education 2012, the state strictly prohibits the following actions in law dissemination and education:
- Incorrectly transmitting, criticizing the content of disseminated laws; failing to provide information or documents as prescribed by law; providing false, illegal information or documents, content that is contrary to the social morals or the nation's fine traditions.
- Taking advantage of law dissemination and education to distort the policy, line of the Communist Party, the laws of the State; propagating hostile policies, causing division of the national great solidarity block; infringing upon the interests of the State, rights, and legal interests of agencies, organizations, and individuals.
- Obstructing the exercise of the right to information, law understanding, and learning for citizens, as well as the law dissemination and education activities of agencies, organizations, and individuals.
- Taking advantage of the right to information, law understanding and learning to hinder the normal activities of agencies, organizations, individuals, causing public disorder, and safety issues.
What is the content of law dissemination and education in Vietnam?
Based on Article 10 of the Law on Law Dissemination and Education 2012, the contents of law dissemination and education include:
- Provisions of the Constitution and legal normative documents, focusing on the regulations of civil, criminal, administrative, marriage and family law, gender equality, land, construction, environmental protection, labor, education, healthcare, national defense, security, transportation, basic rights, and obligations of citizens, powers, and responsibilities of state agencies, officials, newly issued legal normative documents.
- International treaties of which the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is a member, international agreements.
- Awareness of respecting and complying with the law; awareness of protecting the law; benefits of law compliance; good examples in law implementation.
