What are the objectives of the Refresher training programs for Pioneers’ Organizations in Vietnam?
Based on Section 3 of the program issued alongside Decision 4649/QD-BGDDT 2021, the objectives of the Refresher training programs for Pioneers’ Organizations are divided into two main categories: general objectives and specific objectives as follows:
- General Objective: To help teachers acting as Team Leaders in elementary and secondary schools to understand the position, role, duties, and working methods of a teacher acting as a Team Leader, as well as the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization (hereafter referred to as Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers). They should be able to apply the knowledge and skills to organize, guide, and implement Team activities in schools.
- Specific Objectives: To help teachers acting as Team Leaders in elementary and secondary schools:
+ Present basic knowledge about the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization;
+ Analyze the position, role, duties, and working methods of a teacher acting as a Team Leader; the contents, forms, and methods of Team activities for the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers.
+ Design and direct the contents and activities within Team operations and children's movement:
Plan and design Team activities;
Apply the knowledge and skills to effectively organize, guide, and implement Team activities both inside and outside the school.
What are the requirements for Teachers and Lecturers when implementing the Refresher training programs for Pioneers’ Organizations in Vietnam?
Based on sub-item 1, Section 5 of the program issued alongside Decision 4649/QD-BGDDT 2021, the requirements are as follows:
Requirements for Teachers Implementing the Refresher training programs for Pioneers’ Organizations:
- Must be Team Leaders or teachers in elementary and secondary schools wishing to participate in the training.
- Attend the full duration and number of training sessions as stipulated.
- Study the materials before attending the class, actively participate in discussions, and complete assignments as required by the lecturer.
- Proactively apply the learned knowledge and skills to organize Team activities at their workplace.
- Regularly self-train to consolidate the learned knowledge and skills; keep updated with new knowledge, skills, guidelines, regulations, and annual Team activity programs and children's movements for practical application.
Requirements for Lecturers Implementing the Refresher training programs for Pioneers’ Organizations:
- Must be educators from teacher training institutions, experts (National Level II Trainers in Team skills and professional practices, lecturers specializing in youth and children work) with the required qualifications; good professional ethics and capabilities; specialized knowledge in Team activities and teaching, and training experience.
- Lecturers participating in teaching need to invest time in studying materials, frequently updating new documents, knowledge, and typical real-world scenarios to equip learners with essential, practical knowledge and skills relevant to Team Leader teachers in schools.
- Lecturers are responsible for performing tasks assigned by the managing agency or teacher training institutions as per guest lecturer policies or labor contracts.
Additionally, lecturers participating in the Refresher training programs for Pioneers’ Organizations will have their training results evaluated according to sub-item 2, Section 5 of the program issued alongside Decision 4649/QD-BGDDT 2021 as follows:
Evaluation of Each Module
- At the end of each module, learners will be evaluated through tests (oral/written) or group discussions, practical exercises to determine the extent of their knowledge, skills, and attitudes for each module. Scores for each module are graded on a 10-point scale.
- Learners who attend more than 80% of the class sessions and complete the learning tasks can participate in the evaluation.
- Learners scoring less than 5 are considered not meeting the requirements and must be re-evaluated.
Final Training Course Evaluation
The final training course evaluation uses the results of the module tests. Learners who accumulate passing scores in all modules are considered to have completed the training course.
