Pursuant to the provisions of the General Education Program issued together with Circular No. 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, it clearly states that the five primary traits of students at all levels include:

What are the requirements for achieving the 5 primary traits for primary school students in Vietnam?

According to the General Education Program issued together with Circular No. 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the specific requirements for achieving the 5 primary traits for primary school students according to the 2018 General Education Program are as follows:

(1) Patriotism

- Love nature and have practical actions to protect nature.

- Love homeland, country, and respect national symbols.

- Respect and be grateful to laborers and those who have contributed to the homeland, country; participate in activities to express gratitude to those who have contributed to the homeland, country.

(2) Kindness

Love everyone

- Love, care, and take care of family members.

- Love friends, teachers; care for, encourage, and motivate friends.

- Respect the elderly; help the elderly, the sick, the disabled; be considerate and helpful to younger children.

- Share with friends who are in difficult circumstances, friends in remote areas, people with disabilities, and those affected by natural disasters.

Respect differences among people

- Respect the differences among classmates in terms of dress, character, and family circumstances.

- Do not discriminate or divide friends.

- Be ready to forgive the wrong actions of friends.

(3) Diligence

Love learning

- Attend school fully and on time.

- Regularly complete learning tasks.

- Eager to learn, love reading to expand knowledge.

- Have the consciousness to apply the knowledge and skills learned at school in daily life.

Love working

- Regularly participate in family jobs suitable to one's abilities.

- Regularly participate in school and community jobs suitable to one's abilities.

(4) Honesty

- Be truthful and straightforward in learning, labor, and daily activities; boldly express your opinions.

- Always keep promises; bravely admit mistakes, fix mistakes, and protect the right and good.

- Do not arbitrarily take the belongings, money of family members, friends, teachers, or others.

- Do not condone dishonest behaviors in study and life.

(5) Responsibility

Be responsible for oneself:

- Be conscious of maintaining hygiene, exercising, and caring for health.

- Have the consciousness of orderly living.

Be responsible for the family

- Be conscious of preserving and taking care of personal and family belongings.

- Do not waste food and drink; be conscious of saving money and utilities in the family.

Be responsible for school and society:

- Voluntarily comply with school rules and collective regulations, conventions; maintain common hygiene; protect public properties.

- Do not cause disorder, argue, or fight.

- Remind friends to comply with school rules; remind family members to comply with public regulations and conventions.

- Be responsible for assigned tasks at school and in class.

- Actively participate in collective activities, social activities suitable to one's age.

Be responsible for the living environment

- Be conscious of caring for and protecting green trees and useful animals.

(1) Patriotism

- Actively and proactively participate in activities to protect nature.

- Have awareness of learning about family, lineage, and homeland traditions; actively study and train to promote the traditions of family, lineage, and homeland.

- Have awareness of protecting cultural heritage, actively participate in activities to protect and promote the value of cultural heritage.

(2) Kindness

Love everyone

- Respect the honor, health, and privacy of others.

- Do not condone evil, bad deeds; do not support or participate in violent actions; be ready to defend the weak and disadvantaged,...

- Actively and proactively participate in charitable activities and community services.

Respect differences among people

- Respect differences in the cognition, personal styles of others.

- Respect the cultural diversity of ethnic groups within the Vietnamese national community and others.

- Empathize and be willing to help others.

(3) Diligence

Love learning

- Always strive to achieve good results in learning.

- Love reading books, newspapers, and finding materials on the Internet to expand knowledge.

- Have the awareness to apply knowledge, skills learned at school, in books, and from reliable sources in daily life and study.

(5) Responsibility

- Be conscious of saving time; use time reasonably; build and implement a reasonable study and activity schedule.

- Do not blame others; be conscious of and find ways to remedy the consequences caused by oneself.

Be responsible for school and society

- Care about community jobs; actively participate in collective activities and community services.

- Respect and comply with public regulations; comply well with traffic laws; be conscious when participating in community activities, festivals in the locality.

- Participate in and connect with the Internet and social networks responsibly; do not assist in spreading information that affects the honor of organizations, individuals, or affects cultural lifestyle, social order, and safety.

According to the General Education Program issued together with Circular No. 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the specific requirements for achieving the 5 primary traits for upper lower secondary school students according to the 2018 General Education Program are as follows:

(1) Patriotism

- Actively and proactively encourage others to participate in nature protection activities.

- Voluntarily comply with and encourage others to comply with legal regulations, contributing to protecting and building the socialist State of Vietnam.

- Actively participate in and encourage others to participate in activities to protect and promote the value of cultural heritage.

- Fight against conspiracies and actions that infringe upon national territory, borders, and maritime sovereignty in an appropriate manner, in accordance with law.

- Be ready to fulfill the duty of protecting the country.

(2) Kindness

Love everyone

- Care about harmonious relationships with others.

- Respect and protect the legitimate rights and interests of everyone; fight actions that infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and individuals.

- Actively participate in and encourage others to participate in charitable activities and community services.
