What are requirements of question paper for the National High School Graduation Exam in 2025 in Vietnam?

According to the regulations in Article 5 of the Draft Circular on Issuance of the National High School Graduation Exam Regulations, each test/subject of the National High School Exam 2025 must meet the following requirements:

- Each exam subject has an official test paper and a backup test paper.

- The test paper must ensure the following requirements:

+ Ensure accuracy, scientific basis, and educational value; language must be clear;

+ Align with the knowledge and skills standards of the high school curriculum; ensure classification of candidates;

+ The essay test paper must specify the points for each question; points for both the essay and multiple-choice tests are converted to a ten (10) point scale for the entire test and elective test subjects;

+ Each test paper must have an accompanying answer key; for essay tests, there should also be marking instructions;

+ The test paper must indicate the total number of pages (for tests with 2 or more pages); and mark the word "END" at the conclusion of the paper.

- The unpublished test papers and answer keys belong to the state's "Top Secret" category. The confidentiality period of the "Top Secret" state secret level for the test paper is as follows:

+ For essay tests, it ends when two-thirds (2/3) of the exam time has passed; for multiple-choice tests, it ends at the end of the test session;

+ Unused backup test papers are declassified immediately after the exam time of the last subject of the Exam concludes.

What are regulations on registration for the National High School Graduation Exam in 2025 in Vietnam?

According to Article 20 of the Draft Circular on Issuance of the National High School Graduation Exam Regulations download, the following conditions for exam registration:

- Organizing Registration:

+ Candidates register according to the regulations and guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training;

+ Candidates submit their registration dossier for high school graduation recognition along with the registration application;

+ The principal of the high school or the head of the registration unit is responsible for:

++ Providing accounts and passwords for candidates as per point a, clause 1 of Article 19 of these Regulations; guiding candidates in preparing documents for online exam registration; collecting registration forms, entering candidate registration information (for candidates registering directly);

++ Collecting the registration documents of candidates under points b, c, d, clause 1, Article 19 of these Regulations; providing accounts to candidates immediately upon receipt of dossiers (for direct registration).

- Reviewing and updating information regarding candidates' academic results at high schools; accessing information from the national population database to confirm priority areas based on permanent residence, ethnic minority status for candidates (carried out on the Exam Management System);

++ Organizing the examination of registration documents and publicly announcing candidates who do not meet the conditions for taking the exam as stipulated in clause 2, Article 19 of these Regulations at least 15 days before the exam; managing registration documentation and transferring documents and registration data to the Department of Education and Training;

+ A candidate's account is the ID or or Personal Identification Number issued by the Police Authority. For candidates without ID/Personal Identification Number or without Vietnamese nationality, the candidate's passport number is used as a substitute. In cases where candidates do not have ID/Personal Identification Number, the Exam Management System will assign a 12-character code to manage the candidate;

+ The Department of Education and Training manages registration data of candidates and sends the data to the Ministry of Education and Training;

+ The Ministry of Education and Training manages registration data nationwide.

What incentive points do candidates receive when taking the National High School Graduation Exam in Vietnam?

According to Article 47 of the Draft Circular on Issuance of the National High School Graduation Exam Regulations download:

Learners participating in the competitions and activities listed below during high school study are awarded incentive points for high school graduation recognition:

[1] Winning individual prizes in student competitions: First, second, third prizes in national competitions, or first prize at the provincial level will receive 2.0 points; consolation prize in national competitions or second prize at the provincial level will receive 1.5 points; third prize at the provincial level will receive 1.0 points;

[2] Winning individual and team prizes in experiments or laboratory tests in Physics, Chemistry, Biology; arts; physical education and sports; national defense education; scientific and technical contests; international letter-writing organized by the education sector in cooperation with relevant professional sectors from the provincial level and above.

- For individual prizes: First, second, third national prizes, or first prize at the provincial level or a Gold Medal will receive 2.0 points; national consolation prize or fourth place in national scientific and technical competitions or second prize at the provincial level or a Silver Medal will receive 1.5 points; third prize at the provincial level or a Bronze Medal will receive 1.0 points.

- For team prizes: Only national prizes receive points; the number of players, athletes, performers in team prizes is regulated by the specific regulations of each event's Organization Committee; incentive points awarded to individuals in team prizes are implemented as for individual prizes in this section.

[3] Learners who win multiple prizes in several competitions/exams are only entitled to one incentive point level of the highest prize type.
