In which cases will grade 6 students in Vietnam train during summer break?

Based on Clause 1, Article 13 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT:

Summer Break Practice

1. Students with an annual practice result evaluated as Not Achieved must practice during the summer break.

2. The form of practice during the summer break is decided by the Principal.

3. Based on the form of practice during the summer, the homeroom teacher assigns practice tasks for the summer break to the students and informs the parents. At the end of the summer break, if the practice task is assessed by the homeroom teacher as completed (with a report on the process and results of the practice task with the parents' signature), the homeroom teacher proposes for the Principal to reassess the student's annual practice result. The reassessment result is used to replace the annual practice result for class promotion consideration as stipulated in Article 12 of this Circular.

Thus, according to the above regulations, grade 6 students with an annual practice result evaluated as not achieved must practice during the summer break. Based on the form of summer break practice, the homeroom teacher assigns practice tasks during the summer break to students and will inform their parents.

In what ways shall grade 6 students in Vietnam be rewarded?

Based on Article 38 of the School Regulations for upper secondary schools, upper secondary schools, and schools with multiple levles issued under Circular 32/2020/TT-BGDDT, grade 6 students with achievements in studying and training are rewarded in the following ways:

- Commendation in front of the class or the whole school.

- Awards for student titles according to regulations.

- Certificates, commendations, diplomas if outstanding achievements or significant progress are made in certain areas of study, competitive movements; achievements in competitions or contests according to the regulations and permission of the Ministry of Education and Training.

- Other forms of commendation.
