What are 6 rights for grade 12 students in an educational environment in Vietnam?
According to Article 35 of the Regulations on lower secondary schools, upper secondary schools, and multi-level schools issued with Circular 32/2020/TT-BGDDT, grade 12 students will have the following rights:
- To be equal in enjoying comprehensive education, ensured conditions of time, facilities, hygiene, and safety to study in class and self-study at home, provided with information about their own study and training, and use equipment and facilities for school learning, cultural, and sports activities according to regulations.
- To be respected and protected, treated equally and democratically, have the right to complain to the school and educational management levels about decisions concerning themselves; have the right to transfer schools for legitimate reasons according to current regulations; to study at an accelerated pace, skip grades, or attend older age as regulated by Article 33 of the Regulations on lower secondary schools, upper secondary schools, and multi-level schools (issued with Circular 32/2020/TT-BGDDT).
- To participate in activities aimed at developing talents in academic subjects, sports, and arts organized by the school if conditions are met.
- To receive scholarships or other allowances according to regulations for students entitled to social policies, students facing life hardships, and students with special abilities.
- To transfer schools if eligible under regulations; the school transfer procedures are implemented according to the Minister of Education and Training's regulations.
- To enjoy other rights as prescribed by law.
Does the Literature curriculum need to ensure the respect and protection of intellectual property rights regarding Vietnamese language?
According to sub-section 2 of Section 5 of the general education Literature program issued with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, grade 12 students will learn the following content in Literature:
*VIETNAMESE KNOWLEDGE
- Preserve and develop Vietnamese language
- Logical errors, ambiguous sentence errors, and correction methods
- Rhetorical measure irony, paradox: characteristics and effects
- Text types and genres
+ Argumentative texts: the role of arguments, reasons, and evidence; the writer's purpose, emotions, and viewpoints; measures to increase affirmation, negation in argumentative texts;
Argumentation and expressive language; speech in launching a movement or a social activity; essay on a topic related to the youth; comparative appraisal essay on two literary works of the same or different genres
+ Informational texts: value of the topic, main information of the text; types of data and data reliability; work exchange letters; reporting project assignment results or research results on a natural or social issue
- Respect and protect intellectual property rights in study and research
- Basic characteristics of formal and informal language: understanding and application
- Non-verbal communication means: images, data, charts, diagrams,...
*LITERATURE KNOWLEDGE
- Cognitive, educational, and aesthetic functions of literature
- Suitability between themes, ideas, and main inspiration
- Some expressions of artistic style in folk literature, medieval literature, modern literature, realism and romanticism trends; the artistic style of the author
- Some elements of allegorical stories, novels (modern and postmodern), modern lyrical poetry, comedy, memoirs
+ Allegorical stories: topics, characters, language, artistic techniques; evaluating the role of fantasy elements in allegorical stories, relating to their role in folk tales
+ Novels (modern and postmodern): language, psychological development, character actions
+ Modern lyrical poetry: language, images, symbols, symbolic, surreal elements
+ Comedy: language, characters, situations, sarcastic techniques
+ Reports, diaries, or memoirs: non-fictionality, description, narration; combining real-life details, events with the writer's experiences, attitudes, and evaluations
- Psychological development of characters and methods of expressing character psychology by the writer
