According to sub-section 2, Section 5 of the General Education Program for Literature issued with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, grade 12 students will study the following content in Literature:
*KNOWLEDGE OF THE VIETNAMESE LANGUAGE
- Preserving and developing the Vietnamese language
- Logical errors, ambiguous sentences, and ways to correct them
- Rhetorical devices like sarcasm, oxymoron: characteristics and effects
- Types and genres of texts
+ Argumentative texts: the role of arguments, reasoning, and evidence; the writer's purpose, sentiment, and viewpoint; methods to enhance affirmation, negation in argumentative texts;
The method of argumentation and expressive language; speech for launching a movement or social activity; argumentative essays on issues related to youth; comparative and evaluative essays on two literary works of the same or different genres
+ Informational texts: the value of the topic, the main information of the text; types of data and their reliability; business exchange letters; project task results reports or research findings on a natural or social issue
- Respecting and protecting intellectual property rights in study and research
- Basic characteristics of formal and informal language: understanding and application
- Non-verbal communication tools: images, data, graphs, diagrams, ...
*KNOWLEDGE OF LITERATURE
- The cognitive, educational, and aesthetic functions of literature
- The harmony between theme, ideology, and main emotions
- Some expressions of artistic style in folklore, medieval literature, modern literature, realistic and romantic movements; author's artistic style

Thus, based on the above regulations, grade 12 students must ensure Vietnamese language knowledge, including preserving and developing it.
