Based on the provisions of Article 2 Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT:

The general education program is implemented according to the following schedule:

1. From the academic year 2020-2021 for grade 1.

2. From the academic year 2021-2022 for grades 2 and 6.

3. From the academic year 2022-2023 for grades 3, 7, and 10.

4. From the academic year 2023-2024 for grades 4, 8, and 11.

5. From the academic year 2024-2025 for grades 5, 9, and 12.

The 2018 General Education Program is the education program for students of all classes at current levels.

Based on Section 9 of the General Education Program issued with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the communication and cooperation competencies of students at all levels according to the 2018 General Education Program and the required achievements are as follows:

Identify the purpose, content, means, and attitude in communication - Recognize the significance of communication in meeting personal needs.

- Receive texts about life, nature, and society that use language combined with images, such as comics, simple articles.

- Initially know how to use language combined with images and gestures to present information and ideas.

- Pay attention while communicating; recognize the attitude of the communication subject.
- Be able to set communication goals and understand the importance of setting objectives before communication.

- Understand that the content and method of communication must be appropriate to the communication goals and know how to apply them effectively.

- Receive texts on simple life, science, and art matters using language combined with charts, data, formulas, symbols, images.

- Know how to use language combined with charts, data, formulas, symbols, images to present information, ideas, and discuss simple life, science, art issues.

- Listen attentively and give positive feedback in communication; recognize the communication context and characteristics, attitude of the communication subject.
- Establish appropriate communication goals considering the subject and context; anticipate advantages and challenges to achieve the goals.

- Know how to select content, text types, language, and other communication means suitable for the context and subject.

- Receive texts on scientific and artistic issues appropriate to personal ability and career orientation, using language combined with various non-verbal means.

- Know how to use language combined with diverse non-verbal means to present information, ideas, discuss, argue, and evaluate scientific and artistic issues suitable to personal ability and career orientation.

- Be proactive in communication; confident and able to control emotions and attitude when speaking before many people.
Establish, develop social relationships; adjust and resolve conflicts - Know how to make friends and maintain friendships.

- Recognize disagreements and conflicts between oneself and friends or among friends; know how to concede or persuade friends.
- Know how to establish, maintain, and develop relationships with community members (relatives, friends, neighbors,...).

- Recognize conflicts between oneself and others or among others; be willing to reconcile and know how to resolve conflicts.
- Recognize and empathize with others' thoughts, emotions, and attitudes.

- Identify the causes of conflicts between oneself and others or among others and know how to resolve conflicts.

Evaluate cooperative activities Report the group's task completion results; self-assess personal strengths and weaknesses based on the teacher's guidance. Assess personal and each group member's strengths and weaknesses as well as the whole group's work. Based on the group's activity goals, evaluate the degree of achievement of individual, group, and other group goals; draw lessons for oneself and provide feedback to each group member.
International integration - Have an initial understanding of some countries in the region and the world.

- Know how to participate in some international integration activities under the school's guidance.
- Have basic knowledge of Vietnam's relations with some countries in the world and about some international organizations regularly relating to Vietnam.

- Actively participate in some international integration activities suitable to oneself and the school's and local characteristics.
- Have basic knowledge of international integration.

- Be proactive, confident in communicating with international friends; actively participate in some international integration activities suitable for oneself and the school's and local characteristics.

- Know how to find and read foreign materials to serve study and career orientation for oneself and friends.

Is communication and cooperation competency a core competency of students in Vietnam?

Based on the provisions of the General Education Program issued with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, there are clearly stated 10 core competencies for primary school students, including:

- 03 Common Competencies of Students:

+ Self-control and independent learning

+ Communication and cooperation ability

+ Problem-solving and creativity

- 07 Specific Competencies of Students:

+ Language competency

+ Calculative competency

+ Scientific competency

+ Technological competency

+ Informatics competency

+ Aesthetic competency

+ Physical competency

Thus, communication and cooperation ability is also a core competency of students.
