Based on Article 3 of Decision 51/2012/QD-TTg, the training policies are as follows:

Training policies

The training policies is paid in cash and calculated at 01% of the general minimum wage for one practical teaching session.

The cash training policies does not apply to physical education and sports teachers in educational institutions under the People's Army and the People's Public Security.

What are the standards and training levels of physical education teachers in Vietnam?

Based on Clause 1 Article 4 of Decree 11/2015/ND-CP, physical education and sports lecturers and teachers are as follows:

1. Physical education and sports teachers must meet the standards and training levels of educators as stipulated in Articles 70 and 77 of the Education Law.

Based on Article 72 of the Education Law 2019 prescribing the standard training levels for educators:

Standard Training Levels for Educators

1. The standard training levels for educators are prescribed as follows:

a) Having a college degree in education or higher for preschool teachers;

b) Having a bachelor's degree in education or higher for primary, secondary, and high school teachers.

In the case of subjects lacking teachers with a bachelor’s degree in education, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a pedagogical training certificate are required.

c) Having a master's degree for university lecturers; having a doctorate for university lecturers who guide master’s theses or doctoral dissertations;

d) The standard training levels of educators teaching in vocational education institutions are implemented according to the Vocational Education Law.

Based on Article 6 of Circular 48/2020/TT-BGDDT prescribing physical education lecturers and teachers:

Physical Education Lecturers and Teachers

1. Duties of physical education lecturers and teachers:

a) Advising the school leadership to diversify the forms of organizing sports activities; being the core force in organizing sports activities; managing, directing, and guiding the establishment of sports clubs, maintaining and developing the sport movement in schools.

b) Based on the needs of students and the actual conditions of the school, proactively advising on mobilizing the resources of physical education teachers within the school and inviting external instructors to participate in professional guidance to efficiently organize sports activities.

c) Detecting and nurturing students with sports talent to participate in competitions at grassroots, national, and international levels; proposing specific measures to assist students with weak physical condition who do not meet the requirements of the physical education curriculum or standards for physical fitness evaluation and classification; students with congenital diseases are exempted from or involved in training with appropriate content and forms.

d) Performing other duties of teachers in accordance with current regulations.

2. Rights of physical education lecturers and teachers:

a) Being trained, nurtured, and improved in terms of professional knowledge, methods, forms, and skills in organizing sports activities in schools.

b) Being facilitated to participate in training for the school's representative teams.

c) Enjoying the rights and policies for teachers, lecturers, and other policies in the field of physical education and sports according to current regulations.

Thus, the rights of physical education teachers are:

- Being trained, nurtured, and improved in terms of professional knowledge, methods, forms, and skills in organizing sports activities in schools.

- Being facilitated to participate in training for the school's representative teams.

- Enjoying the rights and policies for teachers, lecturers, and other policies in the field of physical education and sports according to current regulations.
