Professionals in air conditioning and refrigeration engineering are typically arranged to work in facilities, specialized service companies, supermarkets, breweries, dairy processing plants, seafood preservation plants; manufacturers of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, companies, and corporations that install, maintain, service, and repair refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

- Present the basic contents of occupational safety standards, industrial hygiene, fire prevention, and fighting in performing job tasks in the field;

- Present methods and procedures for performing green practices in job tasks in the profession;

- Present methods and procedures for installing and operating industrial, commercial, and residential refrigeration systems ensuring safety and technical standards;

- Describe types of equipment and tools and analyze the functions of each equipment and tool in the field of air conditioning and refrigeration engineering;
