According to the provisions of Article 21 Circular 04/2022/TT-BLDTBXH, the classification of academic results at the college level according to the annual training system is as follows:
- After each semester or academic year, learners are classified according to a 10-point scale as follows:
+ Excellent: from 9.0 to 10;
+ Good: from 8.0 to 8.9;
+ Fair: from 7.0 to 7.9;
+ Average: from 5.0 to 6.9;
+ Poor: below 5.0.
- Learners with a good grade or higher will be downgraded by one level if they fall into one or more of the following cases:
+ Disciplined by the school from the level of warning or higher in the semester or academic year being graded;
+ Have to retake one subject or module in the semester, academic year for excellent grade; have to retake two or more subjects or modules in the semester, academic year for good grade (excluding conditional subjects; subjects or modules temporarily postponed or exempted).
- Academic results in the supplementary semester are combined with the results in the main semester for classification.

What are the conditions for college-level learners in the annual training system in Vietnam to be recognized for graduation?
Based on Clause 1, Article 26 Circular 04/2022/TT-BLDTBXH, the conditions for graduation recognition are as follows:
Graduation conditions
- Learners are recognized for graduation when they meet the following conditions:
a) The score of each graduation exam or thesis, graduation project topic must be 5.0 or higher on a 10-point scale;
b) Not in the period of being disciplined from temporary suspension of studies or higher or being prosecuted for criminal liability;
c) Complete other requirements as prescribed by the school;
- In the case of learners who commit disciplinary violations or legal violations but are not yet at the level of being prosecuted for criminal liability, the principal must organize a disciplinary review before considering the conditions for graduation recognition for those learners.
- In the case of learners who are disciplined at the level of temporary suspension of studies, after the expiration of the disciplinary period or criminal prosecution and have conclusions from competent authorities but not at the level of being expelled, the principal will organize the consideration of graduation recognition.
- No later than 15 working days from the end of the graduation examination or the defense of the graduation project topic, the graduation review board will organize the consideration for graduation. No later than 5 working days from the date of graduation consideration, the graduation review board shall submit to the principal the list of learners who are eligible or ineligible for graduation recognition.
- No later than 3 working days from the date the graduation review board makes a proposal, the principal shall issue a decision on graduation recognition for learners who meet the graduation conditions.
Thus, the conditions for college-level learners in the annual training system to be recognized for graduation are as follows:
- The score of each graduation exam or thesis, graduation project topic must be 5.0 or higher on a 10-point scale;
- Not in the period of being temporarily suspended from studies or higher or being prosecuted for criminal liability;
- Complete other requirements as prescribed by the school.
What are the conditions for learners of the annual training system in Vietnam to be eligible for the graduation exam?
Based on Clause 1, Article 24 Circular 04/2022/TT-BLDTBX, the conditions for learners of the annual training system to be eligible for the graduation exam include:
- The final grade of the subjects or modules in the program must be passing;
- Not in the period of being disciplined from temporary suspension of studies or higher, not in the period of being prosecuted for criminal liability;
- Still have exam attempts and within the allowable time frame for the graduation exam according to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 24 Circular 04/2022/TT-BLDTBXH;
- Learners who do not meet the eligibility requirements for the graduation exam as prescribed in point a, Clause 1, Article 24 Circular 04/2022/TT-BLDTBXH, if still within the time frame to complete the program, the principal may consider, allow them to complete the subjects or modules that were not passed and organize the review of conditions for the graduation exam;
- Learners who do not meet the eligibility requirements for the graduation exam due to being disciplined at the level of temporary suspension of studies, after the expiration of the disciplinary period or being prosecuted for criminal liability, with conclusions from competent authorities but not at the level of being expelled, the principal will organize the review of conditions for the graduation exam;
- Learners who commit disciplinary violations or legal violations but are not yet prosecuted for criminal liability, the principal must organize a disciplinary review before considering the conditions for the graduation exam for those learners.
