- Skipping classes or sessions; arbitrarily shortening the childcare, nurturing, and educational programs for children;
- Engaging in private work while organizing childcare, nurturing, and education activities for children;
- Smoking, drinking alcohol, or using other stimulants when participating in childcare, nurturing, and educational activities for children.

What are the duties of preschool teachers and staff in Vietnam?
* For Preschool Teachers
According to Article 27 of the Preschool Regulations issued with Circular 52/2020/TT-BGDDT, the duties of preschool teachers are as follows:
- Ensuring the physical, mental, and life safety of children while they are at school;
- Implementing the nurturing, care, and education of children according to the preschool education program;
- Preserving teachers' quality, honor, and reputation; treating children fairly and respecting their personalities; protecting the legitimate rights and interests of children; uniting and assisting colleagues; adhering to teachers' codes of conduct and ethical standards as stipulated;
- Disseminating and educating parents about scientific child-rearing knowledge; actively cooperating with children’s families to achieve the educational goals;
- Engaging in self-study to improve professional competencies in nurturing, caring for, and educating children;
- Complying with school regulations and other legal provisions.
* For Preschool Staff:
According to Article 28 of the Preschool Regulations issued with Circular 52/2020/TT-BGDDT, the duties of preschool staff are as follows:
- Performing duties assigned according to the plan and under the principal's assignment;
- Depending on the job position, staff must comply with the professional standards of their respective positions and the school's internal rules;
- Ensuring the safety of children during meals and activities at the school. Adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations in food preparation, ensuring no poisoning incidents among children;
- Preserving their own quality, honor, reputation, and that of the school; uniting and supporting colleagues; adhering to staff codes of conduct as stipulated;
- Pursuing professional development to improve the quality of nurturing, care, and education of children;
- Complying with school regulations and other legal provisions.
What are the rights of preschool teachers and staff in Vietnam?
According to Article 29 of the Preschool Regulations issued with Circular 52/2020/TT-BGDDT, the rights of preschool teachers and staff include:
- Being respected, protected in terms of dignity, honor, and physical integrity, and enjoying material and spiritual benefits as regulated;
- Autonomously performing professional tasks with the support of professional groups and the school; being assured of the conditions for nurturing, caring for, and educating children;
- Receiving salary, allowances, subsidies, and other policies as per legal regulations;
- Being facilitated to study and enhance their professional skills, receiving full salary, allowances, and other policies when being sent to study or attend training sessions by competent authorities;
- Being rewarded, awarded honorary titles, and other prestigious titles as prescribed;
- Enjoying other rights as regulated by law.
What are qualifications of preschool teachers in Vietnam?
Based on Article 30 of the Preschool Regulations issued with Circular 52/2020/TT-BGDDT, the following provisions apply:
Standard Training Level, Professional Qualifications of Teachers and Staff
- The standard training level for teachers is a college degree in preschool education. Annually, teachers self-evaluate and are evaluated by the school based on the professional standards for preschool teachers to create a basis for developing study and training plans to enhance professional competencies.
- The standard training level for staff in preschool educational institutions is stipulated in the professional position standard documents for each job position as regulated.
Thus, preschool teachers must have a college degree in preschool education.
