Based on Section 5 of the Appendix of the General Education Program on Literature issued with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the content requirements for grade 1 Vietnamese Language are as follows:

VIETNAMESE LANGUAGE KNOWLEDGE

1.1. Sound, rhyme, tone; letters and tone marks

1.2. Spelling rules distinguishing: c and k, g and gh, ng and ngh

1.3. Capitalization rules: capitalizing the first letter of a sentence, capitalizing proper nouns

  1. Vocabulary by topic: Nouns for objects, familiar activities, characteristics

  2. The use of period, question mark: marking the end of a sentence

4.1. Common pronouns in communication at home and school

4.2. Some common communication rituals at home and school: greetings, introductions, thank you, apologies, asking for permission

  1. Information through images (non-verbal communication tools)
