Article 112 of the Labor Code 2019 stipulates holidays as follows:

Holidays

1. Employees are entitled to take a day off with full pay on the following holidays:

a) New Year's Day: 1 day (January 1 according to the solar calendar);

b) Lunar New Year: 5 days;

c) Victory Day: 1 day (April 30 according to the solar calendar);

d) International Labor Day: 1 day (May 1 according to the solar calendar);

dd) National Day: 2 days (September 2 according to the solar calendar and 1 contiguous day before or after);

e) Hung Kings' Commemoration Day: 1 day (March 10 according to the lunar calendar).

2. Foreign workers working in Vietnam, in addition to the days off specified in Clause 1 of this Article, are also entitled to take one additional day off for their traditional Tet and one day for their national day.

3. Annually, based on actual conditions, the Prime Minister of Vietnam decides specific days off as prescribed at Points b and đ of Clause 1 of this Article.

According to the above regulation, October 20 is not a public holiday, so students do not get a day off, including female students.

3. Exercise to maintain physical health and personal hygiene.

4. Participate in collective activities of the school, class, Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; help families, engage in work and social activities, environmental conservation activities, and maintain traffic safety order.

5. Preserve and protect school and public property; contribute to building, protecting, and promoting the school's traditions.

Thus, students have 5 duties:

(i) Fulfill academic and training tasks according to the program and educational plans of the school.

(ii) Respect parents, school staff, teachers, and elders; unite and assist each other in learning and training; adhere to school regulations and rules; comply with state laws.

(iii) Exercise to maintain physical health and personal hygiene.
