- Clinic nurse;
- Care nurse;
- Community nurse.

According to sub-section 1 Section A Part 8 of the Regulations issued together with Circular 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the college-level nursing major is described as follows:
College-level nursing is a profession focused on the healthcare of patients, tasked with taking care of and meeting the fundamental needs of patients in both physical and mental aspects, meeting the level 5 requirements in the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.
A nurse is responsible for caring for, inspecting the health status of patients; directly monitoring and supporting patients throughout the treatment process.
The scope of nursing work varies depending on medical facilities and job positions. However, the general duties in the nursing major include: reception nursing, administrative nursing, care nursing, rehabilitation nursing, nutrition nursing, community nursing.
To practice the profession, a nurse must be in good health, possess good ethics, and have adequate knowledge of politics, law, professional expertise, and communication skills suitable for the job position. Additionally, continuous learning to improve professional expertise, foreign languages, expanding social knowledge; practising diligence, respecting the individuality of patients is also required.
Minimum knowledge volume: 2,505 hours (equivalent to 86 credits).
What are the knowledge requirements for graduates of nursing college in Vietnam?
Based on sub-section 2 Section A Part 8 of the Regulations issued together with Circular 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the knowledge requirements for graduates of nursing college in Vietnam are as follows:
- Explain the basic sciences, fundamental and specialized medical knowledge to explain the causes, symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment direction for patients to formulate a patient care plan;
- Analyze pharmacology, nutrition, human psychology, and infection control in patient care practice;
- Explain the pharmacokinetics process, drug effects, and regulations on drug usage for reasonable and safe drug application;
- Explain parasitic microscopy knowledge to identify disease causes, sources of infection to formulate prevention plans;
- Explain the procedures for patient admission to hospitals and guide patients on the necessary documents for discharge;
- Analyze patient psychological characteristics to choose appropriate communication and health consultation methods;
- Describe the basic knowledge of politics, culture, society, law, national defense, physical education as prescribed.
What Are the skill Requirements for graduates of nursing college in Vietnam?

- Assess the patient's condition and provide appropriate nursing diagnoses;
- Categorize patients coming for examination and emergencies, prioritize issues to offer appropriate solutions;
- Formulate and implement patient care plans;
- Proficiently perform basic and specialized nursing techniques;
- Assist doctors in performing procedures on patients;
- Perform initial first aid and emergency care in community emergencies;
- Manage medical equipment, consumables, medications, records, and books;
- Monitor, evaluate conditions, and record daily developments of patients; detect and report abnormal developments;
- Communicate politely and friendly with patients;
- Provide health consultations and education to patients, their families, and the community;
- Participate in early detection of local epidemics and propose measures for epidemic prevention and environmental health protection;
- Use basic information technology as required; exploit, process, and apply information technology in the professional activities of the industry, profession;
- Use basic foreign languages, achieving level 2/6 in the Vietnamese Foreign Language Competence Framework; apply foreign languages to the professional work of the industry, profession.
