- The mission of History is to help students develop historical competence, a component of scientific competence, while contributing to shaping and developing primary qualities and general competencies identified in the overall program.
- History plays a crucial role in educating patriotism, national pride, historical traditions, and cultural heritage, helping students comprehend and apply historical lessons to address contemporary life issues, broaden horizons, and reinforce human values, community spirit, tolerance, and compassion. It contributes to shaping and developing the characteristics of Vietnamese citizens and global citizens in the era of development.
- History helps students develop historical thinking, systematic thinking, critical thinking, skills in exploiting and using historical sources, understanding, and articulating history in chronological and synchronous logic, linking the past with the present.
