What general qualities should grade 5 students achieve in Vietnamese Literature?

Based on Section 3 of the School Education Curriculum for Vietnamese Literature issued together with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the Vietnamese Literature Education Program has the following general objectives:

- Forming and developing in students essential qualities: patriotism, kindness, diligence, honesty, and responsibility; nurturing the soul, shaping character, and developing individuality.

Helping students discover themselves and the world around them, understand people, have a rich inner life, maintain humanistic living and behavior concepts; love Vietnamese language and literature; be aware of national origins and identity, and contribute to preserving and developing Vietnamese cultural values; be receptive to global cultural quintessence and have the ability to integrate internationally.

- Contributing to developing general competencies in students: self-control and self-study skills, communication and cooperation skills, problem-solving and creativity.

Particularly, the subject of Vietnamese Literature helps students develop language and literary competencies: training skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening; having a foundational general knowledge of Vietnamese language and literature, developing figurative and logical thinking, thereby forming the fundamental education of a cultured person;

Knowing how to create common texts; knowing how to receive and evaluate literary texts specifically, and communicational products and aesthetic values generally in life.

Thus, teaching grade 5 Vietnamese literature requires students to have general qualities such as patriotism, kindness, diligence, honesty, and responsibility; nurturing the soul, shaping character, and developing individuality.

Based on Section 8 of the School Education Curriculum for Vietnamese Literature issued together with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the implementation time for the Vietnamese Literature curriculum at various educational levels is as follows:
