According to Section IV, Appendix of the Literature Subject Program in General Education issued along with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the literary competencies for grade 8 Literature in Vietnam are as follows:
- Understanding the message, thoughts, emotions, and attitude of the author in the text; recognizing dramatic literature, novels, Nom stories, regulated poetry and free verse, tragedy and comedy; content and form of literary works, literary images;
- Recognizing and analyzing the effects of certain formal elements and artistic devices in each literary genre (the combination of the narrator's voice and the character's voice, viewpoint, conflicts, poetic rules, structure, vocabulary, lyrical emotional flow; rhetorical devices such as anaphora, puns, irony, and paradox).
- Recognizing some general features of Vietnamese literary history; understanding the impact of literature on personal life.
What is the actual learning time in the latest grade 10 program according to Circular 32 in Vietnam?
According to the provisions of Article 2 of Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT:
The general education program is implemented in the following roadmap:
1. From the 2020-2021 school year for Grade 1.
2. From the 2021-2022 school year for Grade 2 and Grade 6.
3. From the 2022-2023 school year for Grade 3, Grade 7, and Grade 10.
4. From the 2023-2024 school year for Grade 4, Grade 8, and Grade 11.
5. From the 2024-2025 school year for Grade 5, Grade 9, and Grade 12.
According to Section 4, the General Education Program issued along with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT (amended by Article 1 Circular 13/2022/TT-BGDDT) regarding the education plan as follows:
