What are guidelines and measures for addressing limitations and shortcomings for members of Vietnam Communist Party by the end of 2024?

End of 2024, the evaluation and remediation of limitations and shortcomings of members of Vietnam Communist Party are crucial tasks aimed at enhancing the quality of the Party’s contingent, strengthening the Party’s power and prestige. These directions and measures need to be implemented decisively and synchronously to create conditions for Party members to improve themselves and contribute positively to the construction and development of the country.

1. Strengthening political and ideological education:

To overcome limitations and shortcomings, it is necessary to focus first on political and ideological education for Party members. Each Party member must clearly understand and correctly implement the Party's guidelines, policies, and state laws. Party committees at all levels should regularly organize classes, seminars, and educational activities on revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyle for members. Particularly, learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style should be regarded as an important task.

2. Promote self-criticism and criticism within the Communist Party:

A significant measure to overcome the shortcomings of Party members is to strongly promote the movement of self-criticism and criticism within the Party. Each Party member should self-reflect, clearly identify weaknesses, and shortcomings to self-correct. At the same time, Communist Party committees must create an open and democratic environment, encouraging members to offer sincere and constructive criticisms. Self-criticism and criticism will help Party members recognize their mistakes for correction and improvement.

3. Enhance the capacity and ethical qualities of Party members:

To overcome limitations in capacity and ethical qualities, Party members need to strive to train, learn, and improve their professionalism and expertise. Furthermore, maintaining revolutionary ethical qualities, combating corruption, negativity, and wrong actions are crucial. Party members must be exemplary in their work and daily life, demonstrating healthy ethics and lifestyles to set an example for the public.

4. Conduct regular inspections and strict handling:

Inspection and supervision work should be carried out regularly to promptly detect shortcomings and limitations of Party members. Party committees need to strengthen the inspection and supervision of Party members’ duty performance, thereby having effective remedial measures. Particularly for those Party members who seriously violate ethics, lifestyle, or do not perform well on assigned tasks, strict handling, conformed to the Party and state, is required. This measure is important to ensure discipline within the Party and enhance the Party members’ prestige and credibility within the community.

5. Consolidate and enhance the leadership role of the Party committees:

Party committees at all levels need to promote their leadership roles in guiding, directing, inspecting, and assisting Party members in overcoming limitations and shortcomings. Each Party committee must understand the situation, comprehend the difficulties and entanglements of Party members to propose appropriate solutions. Party members should also receive attention and support to overcome difficulties, strive to perfect themselves, and contribute positively to the Party's work.

6. Strengthen the role of affiliated organizations within the Party:

Organizations such as the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Women’s Union, Trade Union... within the Party play an active role in assisting and supporting Party members in overcoming limitations and shortcomings. These organizations can organize learning activities, exchanges, and experience sharing to create opportunities for Party members to enhance their abilities and qualities, thereby contributing to their self-improvement and becoming exemplary Party members.
