Based on Section 2 of the Continuous Training Program for Teachers at General Education Institutions issued with Circular 17/2019/TT-BGDDT, the training subjects are specified as follows:

Training Subjects

The continuous training program for teachers at general education institutions applies to teachers teaching at primary schools, lower secondary schools, upper secondary schools, general schools with multiple levels, specialized schools, ethnic boarding schools, and semi-boarding ethnic schools (collectively referred to as general education institutions).

Thus, the targeted regular training for general education teachers includes:

- Teachers teaching at primary schools

- Lower secondary schools

- Upper secondary schools

- General schools with multiple levels, specialized schools, ethnic boarding schools, semi-boarding ethnic schools.

What are requirements in continuous training module GVPT 01 in Vietnam?

Based on Section 3 of the Continuous Training Program for Teachers at General Education Institutions issued with Circular 17/2019/TT-BGDDT, the requirements in module GVPT 01 are as follows:

- Analyze the state of teachers' ethics in the current context (shortcomings, lessons from teachers violating ethics, role models impacting moral education and student teaching); Connect with educational levels;

- Apply the regulations on teachers' ethics to develop and implement a self-training plan to improve personal ethical qualities;

- Support peers in striving to enhance personal ethical qualities.

What is the duration of training according to the continuous training program for teachers at general education institutions in Vietnam?

Based on Section 4 of the Continuous Training Program for Teachers at General Education Institutions issued with Circular 17/2019/TT-BGDDT, the implementation guidance of the program is as follows:

GUIDANCE ON PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION

1. The implementation of the Continuous Training Program for Teachers at General Education Institutions includes 03 training programs specified in Section III of this Program.

2. Training duration:

a) Each teacher at a general education institution undertakes the continuous training program ensuring specific durations as follows:

- Training program 01: Approximately 01 week/school year (around 40 periods/school year);

- Training program 02: Approximately 01 week/school year (around 40 periods/school year);

- Training program 03: 01 week/school year (40 periods/school year);

b) Based on the task requirements and educational plans of the locality for each school year, educational management levels may adjust the durations for Training programs 01 and 02 as appropriate, but not alter the duration for Training program 03 of each teacher at a general education institution (ensuring 120 periods/year);

c) Based on Training program 03, teachers at general education institutions select necessary training modules suitable to their personal quality and professional capacity development needs each year, ensuring the prescribed duration.

3. The implementation of the Continuous Training Program for Teachers at General Education Institutions is conducted annually according to the Continuous Training Regulations issued by the Minister of Education and Training./.

Thus, the training duration according to the continuous training program for teachers at general education institutions is 120 periods/year.
