What are components of Marxism-Leninism?

Marxism-Leninism "is a system of scientific viewpoints and theories" by C. Marx, F. Engels, and the development by V. I. Lenin; it is the inheritance and development of the values of human intellectual history, based on the context of the era; it is the science of proletarian class liberation, labor people liberation, and human liberation; it is the universal worldview and methodology of scientific cognition.

Marxism-Leninism comprises three fundamental theoretical components, which are:

1. Marxist-Leninist Philosophy: Studies the most general laws of motion and development of nature, society, and thought. Marxist-Leninist philosophy constructs the most general worldview and methodology for scientific cognition and revolutionary practice.

2. Marxist-Leninist Political Economy: Studies the economic laws of society, particularly the economic laws of the emergence, development, and decline of the capitalist mode of production, as well as the emergence and development of the communist mode of production.

3. Scientific Socialism: Is the result of applying the worldview and methodology of Marxist-Leninist philosophy and political economy to research and clarify the objective laws of the socialist revolutionary process, from capitalism to socialism and progressing towards communism.

The three components of Marxism-Leninism are closely related, forming a unified scientific theoretical system regarding the cause of liberation for the proletariat, freeing labor people from oppressive and exploitative regimes, and ultimately liberating humanity.

What are objectives of the subject "Basic principles of Marxism-Leninism" in the non-specialized system in Vietnam?

Based on the Program of the Principles of Marxism-Leninism Course issued with Decision 52/2008/QD-BGDDT, the objectives of the subject "Basic principles of Marxism-Leninism" in the non-specialized system include:

- Establish the most fundamental theoretical basis to approach the course content on Ho Chi Minh's Thought and the Revolutionary Path of the Vietnam Communist Party, understanding the foundational ideology of the Vietnam Communist Party;

- Build confidence and revolutionary ideals for students;

- Gradually establish the most general worldview, life view, and methodology to approach the specialized sciences being taught.

What are purpose and requirements regarding the learning and research methods of the subject "Basic principles of Marxism-Leninism" in the non-specialized system in Vietnam?

According to the Program of the Principles of Marxism-Leninism Course issued with Decision 52/2008/QD-BGDDT:

Purpose of Studying and Researching

- Studying and researching the Fundamental Principles of Marxism-Leninism aim to build a worldview, scientific methodology, and creatively apply these principles in cognition activities and practice.

- Studying and researching the Fundamental Principles of Marxism-Leninism is to understand the most important theoretical basis of Ho Chi Minh's Thought and the Revolutionary Path of the Vietnam Communist Party.

- To help students clearly understand the foundational ideology of the Vietnam Communist Party.

- To build faith and ideals for students.

Some Basic Requirements Regarding Learning and Research Methods

- Studying and researching the Fundamental Principles of Marxism-Leninism must regularly connect the foundational viewpoints of Marxism-Leninism with the realities of the country and the era.

- Studying and researching the Fundamental Principles of Marxism-Leninism require a correct understanding of its spirit and essence; avoiding academic and dogmatic approaches in learning, research, and application of these principles in practice.

- Study and research each principle of Marxism-Leninism in relation to other principles, each component in relation to other components to see the rich and consistent unity of Marxism-Leninism, and also need to perceive these principles within the developmental process of the history of human thought.
