Based on Section 4 of the General Education Program for Literature subject issued with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, grade 12 students will study the following content in the Literature subject:
- Required achievements at the high school level
+ Language proficiency
Able to apply knowledge of Vietnamese language and historical, social, ideological, philosophical context, and aesthetic concepts of the periods to understand more complex texts (as reflected in their length, complexity, and comprehension requirements).
Able to analyze and evaluate the content and prominent features of the expressive form of literary works, especially the creative linguistic explorations, writing styles, and document types. Students should develop a personal perspective on humanity and life; recognize the role and impact of reading on themselves.
From Grade 10 to Grade 12: master argumentative and expository writing styles on topics related to life and career orientation; write according to process, integrating various expression methods, argumentative styles, and artistic elements; have a standpoint on social issues.
Able to write argumentative and informational texts on relatively complex topics; argumentative texts require analysis, evaluation, and comparison of the literary value of works, discussing issues relevant to adolescents; these demand a relatively complex structure and argumentative style, with evidence needing to be sourced from various channels; expository texts on scientific topics in the form of a research report that follows conventional guidelines; respect intellectual property rights and avoid plagiarism.
A piece of writing should reflect emotions, attitudes, personal experiences, and ideas in response to the issues presented; exhibit a personal lens, thinking style, and way of life filled with individuality.
