What are the regulations on preparing the lesson plan under Official Dispatch 5512 for teachers in Vietnam?

Under the guidance in Subsection 3 Section 2 of Official Dispatch 5512/BGDDT-GDTrH of 2020 on the educational plan of teachers and the lesson plan:

II. Preparation of the educational plan of the school

...

3. The educational plan of teachers and lesson plan

Based on the subject teaching plan of the professional team, teachers assigned to teach subjects in different grade levels prepare their annual educational plan (according to the Teacher's Educational Plan Framework in Appendix 3); based on that, prepare the lesson plans (according to the Lesson Plan Framework in Appendix 4) to organize teaching.

It is not mandatory for students to equip mobile phones for learning purposes. Allowing students to use mobile phones in class to support learning activities is decided by the teacher directly teaching the subject; the teacher must provide specific guidance in the designed learning activities in the lesson plan, ensuring it does not require every student to have a phone and that it suits the learning content. Teachers must clearly notify students only to use the phone as a learning support device and the dos and don'ts when using phones in class during lessons.

Regular assessment and assessment are carried out through various forms of activities designed in the lesson plan, such as Q&A, writing, practice, experiments, presentations, and learning products. For each form, when evaluating with scores, teachers must inform students beforehand about the assessment criteria and guide students towards self-learning; focus on evaluative comments on students' process and results according to the requirements of questions, exercises, practical work, experiments, presentations, and learning products as specified in the lesson plan.

Teacher's lesson plan is prepared based on the subject teaching plans of the professional team, and teachers assigned to teach subjects in different grade levels prepare their educational  plans for the school year.

What are the regulations on periodic testing and assessment when preparing the Teacher's Educational Plan Framework?

According to Subsection 4 Section 2 of Official Dispatch 5512/BGDDT-GDTrH of 2020 on the plan for periodic testing and assessment when preparing and organizing the educational plan of the school as follows:

(1) For Tests

professional teams develop matrices, test specifications, periodic assessment tests for subjects by grade level with a question bank containing open-ended and objective questions according to four levels of requirements as follows:

- Recognition: Questions require students to recognize, recall previously received information, or accurately describe the knowledge and skills learned according to lessons or topics in the subject curriculum.- Understanding: Questions require students to explain, express information in their own words, compare, and directly apply the knowledge and skills learned according to lessons or topics in the subject curriculum.- Application: Questions require students to use learned knowledge and skills to solve problems presented in situations related to the learned content in lessons or topics of the subject curriculum.- Higher-order application: Questions require students to aggregate learned knowledge and skills to solve problems in new situations and practical issues appropriate to the expected proficiency level of the subject curriculum.

(2) For Practical Tests, Learning Projects

professional teams develop practical tests, learning projects to periodically assess subjects at each grade level; practical tests, and learning projects must clearly state the specific criteria for assessment according to the required proficiency level of the subject curriculum.

(3) Summarized Assessment and assessment at the End of the Semester and School Year

Teachers are encouraged to guide and assign students to write self-assessments on their strengths, weaknesses, and progress in each subject at the end of each semester. Based on regular and periodic assessment results, teachers aggregate their remarks and assessments for students to correct, improve and convey to parents.

For subjects assessed by remarks: Summarized remarks at the end of each semester and school year are communicated to each student and recorded in the student's academic record.
