In Vietnam, what is the guidance for registration of aspirations used for admission to full-time undergraduate programs in 2024?

Step 1: Candidates access the website: http://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn/

Candidates log in by entering their username, Login code, and Verification code.

- Username: ID/Citizen ID card number/personal identification number

- Password: The password for logging into the system is the one provided during exam registration. If the password has been changed after being provided, use the updated password.

**Step 2: Select "Register admission information" at the top left corner of the screen to start the registration process.

The screen for Admission Aspiration Information appears, and candidates begin to fill in the information in sections 1 - 4.

+ Section 1. Priority admission categories: If the candidate belongs to a priority category, select the corresponding priority category and click on Enter proof of priority to upload the proof to the system. If the candidate does not belong to any priority category, select the "Select priority category" option.

+ Section 2. Admission area: This section is automatically selected by the system based on the candidate's data. If the information is correct, the candidate can skip this. If the information is incorrect, the candidate can edit it by clicking on Enter area proof.

+ Section 3. Year of high school graduation or equivalent: Candidates select their year of high school graduation.

+ Section 4. For candidates taking the exam for university or college admission: Candidates click on the corresponding content box.

After completing the entry of information, candidates select the "Save admission registration information" button.

To register for admission aspirations, candidates select “Add aspiration.”

When the Add new aspiration table appears, candidates enter the information including: Aspiration order, School code, Major code, Admission method, Subject combination into the new entry window.

After entering all the information, the candidate clicks the “Select” button to save the information.

After adding new aspirations, the system will display the list of the candidate's aspirations as follows:

If a candidate wishes to add new aspirations, the candidate continues to click on “Add aspiration” and follow the same steps as guided above.

Then, the candidate selects “Save information” to save the registered aspiration list.

After completing the above steps, the system will require registration confirmation.

The candidate performs this step by sending a message with the syntax TSO <ID number/Citizen ID number> to 6058. The OTP verification code will be sent to the registered phone number.

Next, the candidate enters the verification code into the “Enter verification code” box and clicks “Confirm registration” to complete the registration process.

Additionally, candidates can: Rearrange aspiration order or Delete, Edit, or Add new aspirations.

Step 3: Check registered admission aspiration information

After successfully registering/adjusting the admission aspirations, log out of the admission aspiration registration function and the system.

Then, log back into the system and go to “Online aspiration registration”.

On the aspiration information page, the candidate prints the list of aspirations after adjustment and saves it.

Step 4: Payment of fees

To successfully register for admission aspirations, candidates must complete all steps, not skipping or stopping before finishing the final step.

When do candidates in Vietnam confirm their school admission?

According to Official Dispatch 1957/BGDDT-GDDH 2024, the confirmation time for school admission of candidates is as follows:

- For candidates admitted under the direct admission category, from July 22, 2024, to 5:00 PM on July 31, 2024, candidates can confirm their school admission on the system (those who have confirmed their school admission will not be allowed to continue registering for aspirations used for admission, except for cases permitted by the head of the training institution not to enroll).

If candidates have not yet confirmed their school admission, they can continue to register for aspirations used for admission on the system or the National Public Service web portal like other candidates for training institutions to consider, if admitted, they will confirm enrollment according to the common schedule;

- No later than 5:00 PM on August 27, 2024, all admitted candidates must complete the online school admission confirmation for the first round on the system.

4. After each admission cycle, the training institution uploads the list of candidates deemed eligible for admission to the training majors and programs (according to the admission methods). The aspiration processing system will automatically exclude low-ranking aspirations of candidates eligible for multiple aspirations and return the list of candidates eligible for the highest aspiration.

5. Based on the aspiration processing results, the training institution repeats the admission process in subsequent cycles, adjusting the matriculation scores to match the quotas within the stipulated period. In the final cycle, the training institution decides on the matriculation scores for the training majors and programs (according to the admission methods), and uploads the list (official) of candidates eligible for admission. Based on the final aspiration processing results, the training institution decides the list of candidates admitted to the training majors and programs.

6. The training institution publishes the matriculation scores (and additional conditions and criteria if any) for the training majors and programs according to the admission methods; organizes for candidates to check their admission results on the training institution's portal (or the coordinated admission group web portal of training institutions).

Thus, the university will announce the matriculation scores for training majors and programs on the school's web portal.
