According to Clause 2, Article 4 of Circular 62/2023/TT-BCA, citizens participating in the new admission process into the People's Police must meet general health standards and the following specific standards:

- Citizens applying for the People's Police schools as non-commissioned officers serving Police duty: Height must meet the height standards at the time of selection for Police duty in the People's Police.

- Citizens applying for the People's Police schools who are ethnic minorities: Height between 1.62 m and 1.95 m for males, and between 1.56 m and 1.80 m for females.

- Citizens from priority policy group UT1 according to Appendix 2 issued with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDĐT: Height between 1.60 m and 1.95 m for males, and between 1.55 m and 1.80 m for females.

- Citizens applying for the People's Police schools who are Vietnamese graduates with university degrees from domestic or international universities in natural sciences, engineering, computer science, information technology fields: Height between 1.62 m and 1.95 m for males, and between 1.56 m and 1.80 m for females.

- Citizens applying for high school level cultural education and are subjects for direct admission or admission consideration: Height from 1.55 m and above for males, and from 1.50 m and above for females.

- Citizens with multiple priority categories can only benefit from the highest priority category.

What are the special indices required for Vietnamese citizens applying for admission into People's Police schools in Vietnam?

According to Clause 1, Article 6 of Circular 62/2023/TT-BCA, Vietnamese citizens applying for admission into People's Police schools in Vietnam must meet the following specific indices:

- Not addicted to drugs and pre-substances as stipulated in Decree 57/2022/ND-CP.

- Normal hair color and form (according to the People's Police Regulations).

- No skin pigment disorders, except for localized darkening on the cheeks (melasma).

- No piercings on the nose or other positions on the body for wearing jewelry.

+ For males, no ear piercings or only healed ear piercings forming scars.

+ For females, no more than two ear piercings per ear or only one ear piercing, with other ear piercings being healed scars.

- No keloid scars on the head, face, neck, forearms, hands, or feet.

- No tattoos or permanent skin markings, except for cosmetic eyebrow tattoos and lip tattoos for females.

What are the health check-up contents and conclusions in enrollment to People's Police schools in Vietnam?

According to Article 8 of Circular 62/2023/TT-BCA, the health check-up contents and conclusions in enrollment to People's Police schools in Vietnam are as follows:

- Health check-up contents:

+ Physical examination, clinical examination according to the criteria specified in Appendix I issued with Circular 62/2023/TT-BCA.

+ Paraclinical examinations:

Testing blood: Blood count; blood type, glucose, AST, ALT, urea, creatinine, HIV, HBsAg, anti-HCV; urine tests include general urine analysis, drugs, and pre-substances; chest X-ray; abdominal ultrasound; electrocardiogram.

Where necessary, other paraclinical examinations may be designated for health conclusion as required by the Health Examination Council or Board.

- Health conclusion:

+ The person conducting the clinical and paraclinical examination must detail the examination results, classify health by specialty, sign and take responsibility before the law for their examination and results.

+ Based on each specialty's examination results, the Health Examination Council or Board will conclude the health classification according to the provisions of Articles 4 and 6 of Circular 62/2023/TT-BCA.

+ After classifying health, the Chairman of the Council or Head of the Health Examination Board is responsible for signing, detailing their name, and stamping the health examination facility’s seal on the Health Examination Certificate.

In the conclusion of the Council or Health Examination Board, it must be stated clearly: The citizen is eligible or not eligible for recruitment into the People’s Police or non-commissioned officers finishing their Police duty in the People's Police is eligible for conversion to professional service.

* Notes

- If the case involves an acute illness, a condition that may ameliorate or worsen over time or through treatment, this must be marked with the letter "T" (meaning "temporary"). The examiner must briefly note the name of the illness in Vietnamese beside it (international terms may be noted in parentheses). If the conclusion includes a "T" label on the highest scoring criterion, this must be marked in the health classification section.

- If there is doubt, or no score or conclusion can be made, the Health Examination Council or Board sends the citizen for specialized examination at a qualified medical facility to obtain an accurate conclusion. This must be completed within ten days and only in necessary cases.

- In cases where the health certificate contains a "T" label, the Health Examination Council or Board is responsible for guiding the citizen to medical facilities for treatment.

- If the citizen has a condition not classified according to Table 2 of Appendix 1 issued with Circular 62/2023/TT-BCA, the Health Examination Council must comprehensively evaluate the function of the affected organs, the impact on training, labor, and daily activities, forecast the progress of the condition to conclude the health classification.
