GUIDELINES FOR PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION

1. The implementation of the Regular Retraining Program for teachers at general education institutions includes 03 retraining programs as stipulated in Section III of this Program.

2. Retraining duration:

a) Each teacher at a general education institution must ensure the specific retraining duration as follows:

- retraining program 01: Approximately 1 week/school year (about 40 lessons/school year);

- retraining program 02: Approximately 1 week/school year (about 40 lessons/school year);

- Retraining Program 03: 1 week/school year (40 lessons/school year);

b) Based on task requirements and local education plans for each school year, educational management levels may adjust the duration of retraining program 01 and retraining program 02 suitably but cannot change the duration of Retraining Program 03 for each teacher at general education institutions (ensuring 120 lessons/year);

Program Content

The Regular Retraining Program for Teachers of General Educational Institutions includes retraining as required by the job position; mandatory annual specialized knowledge and skills retraining, including:

1. The Retraining Program for updating specialized knowledge and skills to meet the requirements of executing the tasks of the school year for each grade level of general education (referred to as Retraining Program 01): The Ministry of Education and retraining stipulates the contents to be trained each school year, including policies for the development of general education, general education curriculums, subject contents, and educational activities of the general education program.

2. The Retraining Program for updating specialized knowledge and skills to execute the tasks of developing general education based on the period of each local area (referred to as Retraining Program 02): The Department of Education and retraining specifies the contents to be trained each school year regarding local general education development, curriculum implementation, and local education curriculums; cooperates with projects to implement the regular retraining plan (if any).

3. The Retraining Program for professional competence development as required by the job position (referred to as Retraining Program 03): Teachers of general educational institutions choose retraining modules to develop professional competence to meet the job requirements. The number of selected modules must ensure the retraining duration stipulated in Clause 2, Section IV of this Program. The retraining modules include:
