Recently, the Ministry of Public Security announced the minimum entry quality thresholds (minimum admission scores) for full-time Undergraduate and post-secondary programs of People's Public Security in 2024.
In particular, for fields (excluding Medicine) of the People's Public Security Academy, enrollment fields of the People's Police Academy, the People's Public Security Political Academy, the People's Public Security University, the People's Police University, the Fire Fighting University, the People's Public Security Technical and Logistics University, and the International Academy:
The minimum admission score for enrollment of new students for full-time Undergraduate programs is 70 points, which includes the sum of the scores of three subjects from the 2024 high school graduation exam (according to a 100-point scale) and the score of the assessment test administered by the Ministry of Public Security (according to a 100-point scale), with no failed scores as per the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Ministry of Public Security calculated as follows:
Minimum admission score = (S1+S2+S3) *10/3+BPBCA, where:
+ M1, M2, and M3 are the scores of the three subjects belonging to the health check-up combination for people's public security schools, with scores converted to a 100-point scale.
+ BPBCA is the score of the assessment test administered by the Ministry of Public Security according to a 100-point scale.
The minimum admission score for enrollment of new students for full-time post-secondary programs from the 2024 high school graduation exam scores (unweighted, no extra points) of the three subjects belonging to the health check-up combination for people's public security schools is 10 points, with no failed scores as per the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
For the Medicine field of the People's Public Security Academy, the minimum admission score based on the 2024 national high school graduation exam scores (unweighted, no extra points) for the three subjects is 22.5 points, and the score of the 2024 assessment test administered by the Ministry of Public Security is 20 points according to a 100-point scale.

In 2024, can nearsighted people register for enrollment into people's public security schools in Vietnam?
According to Clause 1, Article 4 of Circular 62/2023/TT-BCA, the regulations are as follows:
Specific health requirements for enrollment of new students, recruitment of citizens into the People's Public Security, and transfer to professional service policies for conscripted non-commissioned officers upon the expiration of their service in the People's Public Security
1. General Standards
Citizens participating in enrollment of new students, recruitment into the People's Public Security, and conscripted non-commissioned officers upon the expiration of their service in the People's Public Security considered for transfer to professional service policies are deemed to meet health criteria if they satisfy the following standards:
a) There is health classified as Type 1 (one), Type 2 (two);
b) Height ranges from 1.64m to 1.95m for males, and from 1.58m to 1.80m for females, except in specific cases where height standards are reduced as stipulated in Clauses 2 and 3 of this Article;
c) Eyesight without glasses must meet 09-10/10 for each eye, with a total combined eyesight of 18/10 or higher. If there are refractive errors: Myopia, hyperopia, each eye must not exceed 03 (three) diopters; if astigmatism, then physiological astigmatism or each eye must be under 01 (one) diopter; eyesight with corrective lenses must be at least 09/10 for each eye, with a combined total of 19/10 or higher (candidates must ensure compliance with eyesight standards according to regulations if successfully admitted for new admission/recruitment into the People's Public Security, and considered for transfer to professional service within the People's Public Security), except for cases stated in Point b, Clause 3 of this Article;
d) Meet the specific indexes as stipulated in Article 6 of this Circular.
Thus, to register for enrollment into people's public security schools, the general standard is that citizens must have uncorrected visual acuity of 09/10 or 10/10 in each eye, and total visual acuity of both eyes must be at least 18/10. In cases of myopia, each eye must not exceed 03 degrees (specific cases as stated in Point b, Clause 3, Article 4 of Circular 62/2023/TT-BCA must not exceed 05 degrees) and must commit to meeting visual standards as stipulated if admitted.
Nearsighted people are eligible to register for enrollment into people's public security schools if their myopia is within the permissible range.
What are the regulations on scoring to classify health in health check-ups for enrollment of new students into people's public security schools in Vietnam?
According to Article 7 of Circular 62/2023/TT-BCA, the scoring to classify health in health check-ups for enrollment of new students into people's public security schools in Vietnam is as follows:
For each criterion, after the health check-up, the doctor will assign a whole number score from 1-6 in the "Score" column, specifically:
Score 1: Indicates very good health condition.
Score 2: Indicates good health condition.
Score 3: Indicates fair health condition.
Score 4: Indicates average health condition.
Score 5: Indicates poor health condition.
Score 6: Indicates very poor health condition.
Additionally, the classification of health is as follows:
Type 1: All criteria score 1.
Type 2: At least one criterion scores 2.
Type 3: At least one criterion scores 3.
Type 4: At least one criterion scores 4.
Type 5: At least one criterion scores 5.
Type 6: At least one criterion scores 6.
