What are the minimum admission scores of the Political Officers College in 2024?
Recently, the Military Recruitment Board of the Ministry of National Defense announced the regulation on the minimum admission scores for full-time Undergraduate and College programs for Military schools in 2024. For the Political Officer College, in case of admission by the High School Graduation Exam results in 2024 in the North, the minimum admission score for the combination of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry is 19 points or higher; the combination of Literature, History, Geography is 20 points or higher; the combination of Mathematics, Literature, English is 19 points or higher.
In the South, the minimum admission score for the combination of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry is 18 points or higher; the combination of Literature, History, and Geography is 19 points or higher; the combination of Mathematics, Literature, and English is 18 points or higher.
Note: The above minimum admission scores are based on a 30.0-point scale and include priority points.

What is the admission by the High School Graduation Exam results in 2024 by the Political Officer College in Vietnam?
Under the 2024 enrollment plan of the Political Officer College, the admission by the High School Graduation Exam results in 2024 is implemented as follows:
* Eligible candidates
Candidates who have graduated from upper secondary schools; participating in the 2024 High School Graduation Examination to get scores for admission and meeting the following conditions:
- Have participated in the preliminary examination and have their applications received by the school for preliminary examination.
- Have achieved the minimum admission score as regulated.
- Have registered for the first aspiration to the school that received their preliminary application or a school within the group for adjusting aspirations.
* Registration and adjustment of aspirations used for admission:
Candidates are allowed to adjust their registered aspirations used for admission, training programs, and admission combinations within the group of schools:
- Group 1: Includes academies: Logistics, Naval, Border Defense, PK-KQ (Command and Staff system) and officer schools: Infantry School 1, Infantry School 2, Political, Special Forces, Artillery, Armor, Chemical Defense, Information, Engineering.
- Candidates register and adjust their aspirations according to the timeline regulated by the Ministry of Education and Training for 2024.
* Admission principles
Admission must ensure targets by the admission combination and by region (North, South); it will select candidates with the total scores according to the registered admission combination plus priority points (if any) from the highest down until the assigned quota is filled.
* Supplementary criteria
In case the admission reaches a certain score level but there are still remaining targets, and the number of candidates with equal scores exceeds the remaining quota, the following supplementary criteria will be applied:
Criteria 1: Candidates admitted by the combination of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry who have higher Mathematics scores will be admitted; Candidates admitted by the combination of Literature, History, Geography who have higher Literature scores will be admitted; Candidates admitted by the combination of Mathematics, Literature, English who have higher Mathematics scores will be admitted.
- Criteria 2: After applying criteria 1, if targets remain, but the number of candidates with equal scores and identical criteria 1, criteria 2 will be applied, as follows: Candidates admitted by the combination of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry who have higher Physics scores will be admitted; Candidates admitted by the combination of Literature, History, Geography who have higher History scores will be admitted; Candidates admitted by the combination of Mathematics, Literature, English who have higher Literature scores will be admitted.
- Criteria 3: After applying criteria 2, if targets still remain, but the number of candidates with equal scores and identical criteria 1 and criteria 2, criteria 3 will be applied, as follows: Candidates admitted by the combination of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry who have higher Chemistry scores will be admitted; Candidates admitted by the combination of Literature, History, Geography who have higher Geography scores will be admitted; Candidates admitted by the combination of Mathematics, Literature, English who have higher English scores will be admitted.
If Criteria 3 still does not meet the targets, the School Admission Council Chairman will report to the Military Recruitment Board of the Ministry of National Defense for consideration and decision.

Based on Article 10 of the Vietnam People's Army Officer Law 1999, the officers’ ranks and grades system comprises three ranks and twelve grades:
1. The company officer’s rank includes four grades
Second lieutenant;
Lieutenant;

2. The field officer’s rank includes four grades:
Major;
Lieutenant colonel;
Senior lieutenant colonel;
Colonel.
