The Enrollment Council of the 1st Army College announces the minimum admission scores in 2024, based on a 30.0-point scale, including priority points as follows:

1. Commander Sector: 18.0 points

* Note: For the commander, candidates who have met the prequalification conditions in Group 1 of military schools including the academies: Logistics, Navy, Border Guard, Air Defense - Air Force (Command and Staff system) and officer schools: Political, Army 1, Special Forces, Artillery, Armored, Chemical, Information, Engineering (according to the correct regions and categories for admission).

2. Basic Military Sector

- Undergraduate program: 15.0 points

- College program: 10.0 points

What are the basic principles for enrollment for full-time undergraduate programs in Vietnam?

Under the provisions of Article 4 of the Regulation on Enrollment for full-time Undergraduate and College programs in Early Childhood Education issued together with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT, the basic principles for enrollment for full-time undergraduate programs are defined as follows:

Basic principles for enrollment for full-time undergraduate programs

1. Fairness to candidates

a) Regarding information provision: Every interested candidate will be provided with full, clear, reliable, and consistent information promptly, enabling them to make appropriate decisions and best prepare for the admissions process;

b) Regarding opportunities to apply: No candidate will lose the opportunity to apply due to regulations not related to their qualifications or abilities (except for specific regulations by the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense concerning defense and security fields); or due to cumbersome and costly application processes;

c) Regarding capability assessment: Candidates must be evaluated objectively, fairly, and reliably concerning their study potential and prospects for success, meeting the requirements of the training programs and disciplines;

d) Regarding admission chances: Candidates must be granted the highest opportunity to gain admission and the right to determine their preferred training programs and disciplines among those they qualify for;

dd) Regarding commitment fulfillment: Educational institutions must fulfill their commitments to candidates, providing advice, support, and addressing complaints, safeguarding the legitimate rights of candidates in risky situations.

2. Equality among educational institutions

a) Regarding cooperation: Educational institutions should cooperate equally to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the admission process while bringing the best benefits to candidates;

b) Regarding competition: Educational institutions should compete honestly, fairly, and healthily in the admissions process according to competition law.

3. Transparency to society

a) Regarding information transparency: Educational institutions are responsible for publicly announcing full, clear, and prompt admission information through suitable media for public and regulatory oversight;

b) Regarding accountability: Educational institutions are obliged to report upon request by regulatory agencies and explain issues of great concern to the public in a suitable manner.

Higher education institutions must adhere to the basic principles for enrollment as stipulated above.

May successful candidates in Vietnam reserve matriculation results?

According to Article 10 of the Regulation on Enrollment for full-time Undergraduate and College programs in Early Childhood Education issued together with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT:

Reserving matriculation results

1. Candidates who have received an matriculation notice can reserve their matriculation results in the following cases:

a) Joining military service or youth volunteer services immediately in the year of admission as per decision or order of the competent authority;

b) Suffering from serious illness or severe accidents preventing timely school admission, with medical records and certification from the competent medical authority.

2. Candidates falling into the cases specified in clause 1 must send a reserveral request along with evidence to the training institution for school admission. The maximum reserveral period is determined by the training institution, but not less than 3 years for those specified in point a clause 1 of this Article.

3. As soon as the conditions for returning to study are met, those with reservered matriculation results must carry out the school admission procedures as stipulated by the training institution, including providing evidence of completing tasks or recovery from treatment. For cases specified in clause 1 of this Article with a reserveral period of from 3 years and above, the training institution may consider introducing the candidate to attend preparatory courses before official studies.

Thus, candidates who have received matriculation results and fall into the above cases can proceed to reserve their results.
